<h4>Job summary</h4>This position is based Nationally<h4>Job description</h4><p>The Service Desk Manager role within HMCTS Digital and Technology Services (DTS) involves management and leadership responsibilities, providing essential services to our users as part of the Live Operations team. The post holder will have the opportunity to contribute to building and implementing the new digital operating model for HMCTS, at the heart of the future organisation.</p><p>The Service Desk Manager is responsible for the operation, support, maintenance and improvement of the DTS Service Desk (1LS) team. About the Role<br>

Are you ready to play a key role in delivering and supporting critical Council infrastructure and applications? As an Applications Packaging and Deployment Engineer, you’ll be responsible for packaging, releasing, and deploying software across the organization, ensuring compliance, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.<br>
A core part of your role will be to own and maintain the Council’s central register of applications keeping it accurate, up to date, and coordinating with stakeholders to validate requirements, versioning, and licensing.<br>
You’ll work under procedural control, sometimes supervising less senior team members, and may be required to provide out-of-hours support.<br>

Key Responsibilities<br>

 - Package applications using established workflows and deployment tools, primarily Microsoft Intune.<br>
 - Oversee technical dependencies, compliance, and lifecycle management for Council services.<br>
 - Test, document, and coordinate new releases and deployments, including technical release notes and training.<br>
 - Maintain and regularly update the master list of applications (central register), ensuring accuracy and completeness.<br>
 - Collaborate with IT management, business units, and external partners to deliver high-quality services.<br>
