Our qualified swimming instructors support the local community by delivering swimming lessons and aquatic based activities in our centres. We currently have vacancies with hours ranging from 23 hours (Monday/Friday) for Swimming Instructors or 28 hours for Dual Post Swimming Instructors who also cover Leisure Assistants responsibilities on a rotational shift basis.

About the Role:
There are two posts available &nbsp;one leading on disrepair and the other leading on housing and general litigation.&nbsp; Both posts will be responsible for a variety of contested litigation and related legal advice, ensuring that the Council receives cost-effective high-quality advice and representation.:
Senior Housing Lawyer (General Litigation)
You will lead on defending and bringing claims s under housing, landlord and tenant, contract, tort, personal injury, judicial review, statutory review, homelessness, highways and local government law.
Senior Housing Lawyer (Disrepair)
You will lead on defending claims &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;brought under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, Environmental Health Act 1990, Defective Premises Act 1972, together with contractual claims from tenants and leaseholders including breach applications;
Both posts require the successful candidate to have a thorough up to date knowledge of housing and local government law.&nbsp; You will be experienced in representation in court proceedings and instructing counsel and have a good working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules. You will also have substantial experience in drafting legal documents and&nbsp;legal correspondence and giving specialist legal advice.&nbsp;

We need to recruit an experienced lawyer to act as our Lead Regeneration and Property Lawyer to drive forward this area of work in Legal Services. The successful candidate will play a lead role in facilitating the delivery of our regeneration plans by working with colleagues across the Council. The postholder will carry a varied and complex caseload, including development agreements, commercial and residential property transactions, planning and highways issues, compulsory purchase matters, governance and ancillary issues arising from larger projects.
