About the Role

As a Lead Officer in the Portfolio Management Office, you’ll lead a team supporting a portfolio of projects and programmes covering Transport, Employment and Skills, Regeneration, Net Zero and Housing.

We have three positions available now acombination of permanent and 2 year fixed-term, which we are seeking to recruit to immediately with more posts coming on stream as the year progresses. If you are successful, we will make offers of employment for the initial post in Spring 2026 and we will then approach other successful candidates in the Talent Pool over the next 12 months with offers of employment, as and when further projects receive approval to proceed.

To deliver a high standard of customer service to all customers using the Mersey Tunnels. You will be required to work in the toll booths and on the plaza at both the Queensway and Kingsway Tunnels, classifying vehicles, taking payment from customers, and offering them advice, information, and general assistance.

About the Role
The role sits within our friendly and forward thinking Spatial Planning Team, which is within a growing team of exceptional individuals in our Policy and Strategy Directorate, and is responsible for the preparation of our innovative and pioneering Spatial Development Strategy (SDS).
