At Folkestone & Hythe District Council, we are investing in our future. As our regulatory responsibilities continue to expand and the local government landscape evolves, we are creating an exciting new Head of Regulatory Services role to strengthen our leadership capacity, enhance organisational resilience, and help shape the future of regulatory services across the district.
We are open to this opportunity being filled on either a permanent basis or as a secondment from another local authority or public sector organisation, depending on the successful candidate's circumstances.

This is a high-profile leadership role offering the chance to influence some of the services that matter most to our residents, businesses and communities.
Reporting to the Chief Officer for Regulatory & Community Services, you will provide operational leadership across a broad and diverse portfolio including Environmental Health, Environmental Protection, Community Safety, Licensing and Transportation.
You will lead talented professional teams, support service transformation, shape policy, provide expert advice to members and senior leaders, and help guide the organisation through a period of significant change, including Local Government Reorganisation.

Salary range
- £66,873 - £73,623 per year
