About this Role
We are seeking to appoint a high-calibre Science Technician to join a talented and supportive Science Department at The Frances Bardsley Academy for Girls.&nbsp;We are looking for individuals who share our passion for empowering young women, and for guiding them to be the best version of themselves.
The successful candidate will:
<ul>
<li>Share our commitment to building great learning communities for our students.</li>
<li>Ensure the efficient preparation and organisation of equipment for lessons as required upon request to prior notice given 48 hours in advance.</li>
<li>Clean equipment after use and assist with any chemical spillage when they occur.</li>
<li>General routine laboratory maintenance</li>
<li>Ensure safe storage and use of laboratory equipment.</li>
<li>Refer stock requirements to the Head of Science and Head Technician and assist in the ordering process.</li>
<li>Ensure the general application of Health and Safety procedures in relation to laboratories (appropriate training will be provided).</li>
<li>Be motivated to help develop amazing young women</li>
<li>Work collaboratively across the school</li>
<li>Support the ongoing growth and development of the department</li>
</ul>
