About the Role
Do you love working in the outdoors? Then this is the job is for you. We are now recruiting for a Skilled Operative to deliver the maintenance of outdoor sports facilities across the Borough’s parks and open spaces.
This includes the full range of seasonal and year-round duties required for football, rugby, and pitches, utilising tractors and a variety of grounds maintenance machinery and attachments to ensure playing surfaces are safe, presentable, and in a good condition.
Some of the duties include:

<li>Carry out pre-season, in-season and end-of-season works for football, cricket and rugby pitches, including grass cutting, Verti-draining, top dressing, seeding, turfing, and goal post installation/removal.</li>
<li>Mark out football and rugby pitches of varying sizes using appropriate line marking equipment.</li>
<li>Undertake renovation and repair works as required, ensuring pitches remain playable and meet safety requirements throughout the sporting seasons.</li>
<li>Maintain cricket squares and outfields, including mowing, scarifying, rolling, end-of-season renovation, and setting up wickets.</li>
<li>Operate tractors and associated attachments (e.g., aerators, slitters, scarifiers, trailers, gang mowers, and line markers) in the preparation and upkeep of sports surfaces.</li>

About the Person 
<ul>
<li>Ability to mark out pitches accurately to required dimensions and standards.</li>
<li>Experience in sports turf maintenance, particularly in football, rugby, and cricket environments.</li>
<li>Understanding of seasonal sports turf requirements and renovation techniques.</li>
<li>Have relevant qualifications and experience in Sports Turf Maintenance, including the use of tractors and various grounds maintenance machinery.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li>
<li>Have a strong awareness of health and safety and safe working practices.</li>

I need someone that they feel comfortable with and who can connect with them, to form a trusting bond. They should be empathetic and understanding of their needs. They should also be active as they love walks and the outdoors. I am looking for someone that could spend time with them in the park, going swimming, out for walks or playing together at home. I would also like someone that would possibly be willing to join us on family days out.
I would need someone that is first aid trained and able to manage when they have seizures and feel happy/comfortable to give medications. I am happy to train you in this.

Brent Council’s Procurement Team is entering an exciting new chapter – putting data, contract management, and social value at the centre of how we deliver for our communities.
We’re looking for a Contract Management Lead&nbsp;to help ensure our suppliers deliver on their promises – from performance outcomes to the added social value that makes a real difference to Brent’s residents.
The role will involve:

<li>supporting stakeholders to implement the Council’s Contract Management Framework</li>
<li>tracking supplier performance and agreed social value commitments</li>
<li>producing reports and dashboards that help improve outcomes</li>
<li>auditing social value delivery and helping showcase its impact</li>
<li>providing guidance and feedback to colleagues and suppliers</li>
<li>helping shape smarter ways of working using data and insight</li>
</ul>
The Person

You will play a vital role in ensuring our £450m+ annual spend is tracked, measured, and held to account. From managing our Contract Management Framework to capturing and reporting on social value delivery, this role is perfect for someone who’s organised, data-savvy, and purpose-driven. &nbsp;

Our ideal candidate will have:
<ul>
<li>Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups – macros a bonus)</li>
<li>Strong organisational and time management skills</li>
<li>Confidence in working with complex data sets and drawing out insights</li>
<li>A good communicator with stakeholder management experience – comfortable with challenge and collaboration</li>
<li>Understanding of contract and supplier relationship management</li>
<li>A passion for social value and improving outcomes</li>
<li>Familiarity with Power BI or a strong willingness to learn and apply it</li>
</ul>

About You The successful candidate will be required to carry a full caseload dealing with matters relating to employment, providing advice and dealing with employment tribunal claims.. There is also an opportunity to take on work relating to education law.You will be required to pick up a caseload from the outset. About the Role: As a Planning Policy Officer, you will play a pivotal role in bringing forward the new local plan. You will prepare and procure evidence and help to shape the planning policies that will deliver local priorities, shaping the development and regeneration of Woking. This will involve a deep dive into some topic areas, giving you the opportunity to develop your knowledge and expertise within a friendly and supportive team. Your work will include supporting the progress of neighbourhood planning and providing expert advice on planning policy issues to colleagues, elected members and external stakeholders. You will assist with monitoring and data collection to make sure we are responding to emerging trends and legislation.
What We’re Looking For:
You could be a recent graduate or have some experience and looking for a new challenge. You will have a good understanding of planning policy and its application at local government level.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders will be essential along with a ‘can-do’ attitude and good project management skills.
A degree in Town Planning, Geography, or a related discipline is desirable, along with membership (or working towards membership) of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
