About this key role
As a Reception Volunteer, you will welcome all visitors in a warm, friendly, and professional manner, handle incoming phone calls and direct queries appropriately, plus monitor and manage the reception inbox and incoming correspondence.&nbsp; You will maintain a clean, organised, and accessible reception area, register visitors, ensure sign-in procedures are followed, and issue visitor badges and support security and safeguarding protocols, including monitoring access.

We are looking for friendly, reliable people to join our Front of House Team. This role will predominantly deal with customers so the ideal candidate will be an approachable person who is willing to help out however big or small the task. Manual handling, such as the regular movement of tables and chairs throughout the venue will be a regular task and ensuring that our hirers always receive a positive experience is important.
Prioritising your duties is essential; being reliable and reactive is a must as you may be responsible for the opening and closing of the venue on occasion.

This is an exciting time to join the Medway Safeguarding Team as we have recently changed our service delivery model from three safeguarding teams to one overall safeguarding team. We are also expanding the size of the team and are currently recruiting Social Workers to join the service.Working in collaboration with the Senior Social Workers, Team Managers and other senior colleagues’, successful candidates will be required to practice as safeguarding social workers to support Medway Council in fulfilling its statutory duties in relation to safeguarding adults, as prescribed by relevant legislation and codes of practice. We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking policy planner to lead our Local Plans, Planning Specialists, and Economic Development Teams. This is an exciting leadership role for a development professional with a strong background in policy, either in local government or consultancy.You will manage a team of up to 12 skilled officers across a range of disciplines including planning policy, urban design, transport policy, and economic development. Your leadership will be key as we progress a number of strategic priorities over the next 12$ú18 months, including the introduction of a Community Infrastructure Levy, delivery of key Development Plan Documents, and a refresh of our Supplementary Planning Documents, including our district-wide Design Code.
