About the role

Enfield Council is seeking Council Tax Arrears and Corporate Debt Recovery Officers to join a new team within the Revenues Service, supporting the collection and recovery of Council Tax arrears and corporate debts while delivering a professional, customer-focused service.

The Revenues service plays a key role in supporting Enfield Council’s financial sustainability through effective income collection and debt recovery. As a diverse and ambitious local authority, Enfield is committed to delivering high-quality, fair and responsive services that support residents, businesses and communities across the borough.

About the ideal candidate

The successful candidate will have experience in a financial, income collection or debt recovery environment, ideally within Council Tax. You will be confident dealing with customers by telephone, email, face to face and in writing, with the ability to explain complex matters clearly and professionally. Strong communication, negotiation, analytical and organisational skills are essential, alongside good IT skills and the ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
