Job Description

Salary range: Grade 10 £43,680 - £45,750 (pro rata) p.a. plus fantastic benefits
Contract: Fixed Term / Secondment
Hours of work: 14.4 hours per week
Location: Croydon

This is a key post within the Place Directorate. The post holder will play a significant role in delivering the management of streetworks on the London Borough of Croydon roads network, within an area of 87km² that extends from Upper Norwood in the north to Old Coulsdon in the south which is supported by a road network of 726km.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and well organised Streetworks Coordinator (Streetworks Inspector) to take on responsibility for inspecting live streetworks and reinstatement to protect the integrity of the public highway within the parameters of the Traffic Management Act 2004, New Road and Street Works Act 1991, the Highways Act 1980 and the various code of practices. Perform NRSWA duties. Knowledge of the Street Manager software system or equivalent is essential as assessing permits is part of the role.

The role is on site and a driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle is required.

Reporting to the Senior Engineer Quality; you will represent the Council at senior level meetings and work closely with other members of the Highways Network Management Team, whose tasks are varied and wide ranging. You will be part of an enthusiastic team which is committed to high standards of working.
