    The Role:

    • As a Short Breaks Support Worker, you will have previous experience in directly working and supporting disabled children and their families
    • The Short Breaks Support Worker will also be responsible to support disabled children attend various friendship groups in the community to develop their independence, so you will have strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures
    • The Short Breaks Support Worker will be commitment to working 1 evening and 1 weekend session per week, with additional hours available in school holidays, so you will need to have a flexible approach and be a key team player
    • We are Ofsted registered and all children who attend our Children’s Centre, have fun and enjoy and achieve, so the Short Breaks Support Worker will assist in facilitating this in a safe environment
    • We provide paid training for all staff in First Aid, epilepsy, moving and handling, food hygiene and TEAM TEACH which is a positive behaviour management intervention

    We have 6, 8 and 10 hour positions available, the salary will be pro rata to reflect this.
