We are looking for someone who can independently assess under the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) and ensure care arrangements follow the law. We need someone who has good communication and relationship building skills, is adept at working alongside individuals, their families and/or advocates and partner agencies, and be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of The Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, DoLS, Mental Health Act and Data Protection Act.

About the role
&nbsp;The Senior Digital Strategy Manager is a key member of the Digital Communications team, responsible for shaping and delivering the Mayor of London and Greater London Authority’s digital communications programme. You’ll lead on paid media, email marketing, and broader digital strategy to extend our reach, deepen engagement, and connect Londoners with the work and impact of the Mayor and City Hall. This role ensures our digital communications are targeted, inclusive and effective: driving awareness, participation, and meaningful outcomes across the capital.

Principal Accountabilities

<li>Advise the Senior Digital Strategy Manager on developing and delivering &nbsp;the Mayor of London and City Hall’s digital communications strategies across social media, email, digital advertising, web, video, photography and emerging channels, with a particular focus on paid media. &nbsp;</li>
<li>Write, design, test and optimise paid digital adverts as part of day-to-day campaign delivery, using behavioural insights and psychology principles to craft persuasive messaging and creative.</li>

The Directorate is also responsible for regeneration (where the programme is not housing led), enterprise, growth, capital projects and design work.
About the team
The GLA Environment and Energy unit is recruiting two Senior Policy and Programme Officer roles in the Climate Adaptation team. One role will be focussed on project management. The other will be a technical officer role with a focus on water.
The Climate Adaptation team is part of the wider Climate Change Team at City Hall. The work of the team focusses on planning for and better managing the accelerating climate change risks through a range of project and programme delivery and policy development. London and Londoners are coming under increasing pressure from a changing climate and an increase in frequency, duration and intensity of extreme weather events affecting water resources and water infrastructure, leading to increased flood risk and damaging river health. It is resulting in a growing risk of overheating, heatwaves and wildfires.
The work of the team is fundamentally about reducing London’s exposure to these risks by adapting the city, the systems that serve the city and the communities that live and work in London. A key priority is focussing on tackling the inequalities in how climate risks impact Londoners.
About the role&nbsp;
These roles will work on the Mayor’s manifesto commitment to improve the health of London’s rivers and other waterbodies, for the benefit of all Londoners. Early tasks include supporting the technical development of a plan and the actions needed to achieve clean and healthy waterways, as well as taking forward the projects which are identified in the plan.
The project manager&nbsp;role&nbsp;will focus on keeping the programme on track and acting as the central point of coordination between work streams, manager, the Mayor’s office and partners. Considerable stakeholder management will also be an important part of this role and will include a mix of internal GLA group and external stakeholders involved in creating and delivering the Mayor’s Clean and Healthy Waterways Plan.
The technical role&nbsp;will focus largely on water quality related aspects of the plan, but there will be significant interaction with other areas of the plan development and delivery, so including biodiversity and ecology, access, inclusion and engagement. For this role, water policy and/or water project delivery knowledge would be critical, particularly in relation to understanding the barriers to good river health and opportunities to reduce pollution such as blue and green infrastructure.
Also important for both roles are project management skills, ability to work collaboratively with multiple and sometimes conflicting stakeholders and good verbal and written communication skills.
There is an intention for this post to be made permanent subject to pending approvals.

What your day will look like
The GLA cannot deliver this manifesto commitment alone, engaging and working with partners is key to success. The first stage of this work involves contributing to completing work on the emerging 10 year plan to clean up London’s rivers. We’ll then be quickly moving on to focussing on delivering that plan through our work and that of our partners.
Whether you are in the project management role or the water technical officer role you will be working in a fast-paced programme development environment.&nbsp; You will be working closely with other members of the clean and healthy rivers virtual team. Principally this includes other members of the climate team and the green infrastructure team. You will also work closely with relevant responsible managers working on developing the plan and delivery. Good communication and a willingness to collaborate will be important attributes for the successful candidates.
Both roles will also be working with key external partners, so expect to spend a good portion of your time meeting with key partners including regulators, environmental NGOs and other charities and campaign groups as well as water company colleagues.
The project manager role will focus on tracking key tasks along the programme to keep the programme and plan development moving forwards. Coordination and oversight of across all four themes of the plan will be key to ensure progress is being driven forward. You will be expected to report on progress regularly and share this information with senior leaders and the Mayor’s office on a regular basis, including thinking about how progress should be communicated with partners and the public. &nbsp;
The technical officer role, will be working closely with the key water stakeholders from the public, private and third sector and can also expect to be using their technical knowledge working on mapping and data analysis to inform the plan actions and implementation of that plan.
Skills, knowledge and experience
To be considered for the role you must meet the following essential criteria:
Be organised and able to demonstrate that you can plan and manage a range of tasks and prioritise effectively with some experience in project management.
Experience in stakeholder management
Experience of public engagement and stakeholder management.
Some knowledge of the Mayor’s environment and climate priorities is welcome but not essential
Project Manager role:&nbsp;some formal project management experience, training or a recognised project management qualification training is required and demonstrable experience of stakeholder management, events development and/or management would be an advantage.
Technical role:&nbsp;Experience of water policy, or a water technical specialism, environmental data analysis and GIS would be preferred (technical role).

Sefton Council’s Green Sefton Service is recruiting for suitable casual staff to take care of our bird and small animal collection at Southport Botanic Gardens. 
Green Sefton is an exciting service which manages our special coast, parks and greenspaces: from our beautiful and internationally recognised coastline which supports some of the rarest flora and fauna in the country, to coastal habitats which are rarer than rainforest, through to our historic parks and gardens, 160 other greenspaces, and our sport and recreation facilities. In total, we manage around 5,500ha of land and this includes managing both inland and coastal flood risk too.&nbsp; We are a varied service indeed!
As part of the Facilities Management Team, the successful applicant(s) will assist in the day to day care of the ‘aviary’ collection, which includes exotic birds, rabbits and guinea pigs, mainly rescue animals that have been donated or gifted over a number of years.
This is a casual role, to provide holiday and sickness absence cover, so there are no set hours. Full induction and training will be given.
We are looking for applicants who clearly love working with and caring for birds and animals. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of working in a similar setting and have suitable qualifications in animal care.
An excellent communicator, you will be an enthusiastic ambassador for the Service and keen to inform visitors to the Botanic Gardens about the collection and related topics.
Applicants should be capable of undertaking a range of practical tasks such as daily cleaning and general maintenance of the facility. You will also be expected to deal with incidents and situations that may arise, such attending to sick animals and birds.

Prioritising your duties is essential; being reliable and reactive is a must as you may be responsible for the opening and closing of the venue on occasion.

You’ll support youth-focused projects that prevent crime and anti-social behaviour, and coordinate responses to youth engagement across police and partner agencies.You’ll be <ul><li>Implementing the Child Centred Policing Delivery Plan and recognising gaps in this.</li><li>Guiding officers on appropriate approaches to young people regarding crime prevention.</li><li>Creating and delivering the Leicestershire Police ‘Educational Offer’.</li></ul>You must have<ul><li>An understanding of child/adolescent development and what can impact this.</li><li>Partnership working experience and sharing best practices for continuous improvement.</li><li>Knowledge and skilled using new and social medias.</li></ul>What’s in it for you?
