Hours: Full time, term time, plus 5 Inset Days (07:00 - 15:00 Monday to Thursday, 07:00 - 14:30 Fridays)

Your new school
Lift Ryde, based on the Isle of Wight, is an 11 to 18 years secondary school and is part of Lift Schools, one of the largest MATs in the country. The school is set in spacious grounds and had a completely new state of the art building in 2017. All staff have access to a free on site gym with a range of fantastic equipment. Known as the "Garden Isle" because of its beautiful landscape, unspoilt beaches, rugged coastline and beautiful countryside. Judged as 'Good' by Ofsted in November 2022, Lift Ryde is a school that pupils feel proud to attend, with a calm and orderly environment. Your new role
The role To take daily absence calls from staff up to the 07:00 deadline each day and record absences using reporting systems. To organise planned and unplanned cover for absent staff using the school Management Information System and to be responsible for the booking of supply teachers through agencies as required. To cover reception predominantly in the afternoons, but also at other times when required and to carry out other duties including break/lunch duties, assisting with the administration of trips.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of working in a customer-facing role in an office environment with good IT skills. You will be organised and adaptable with good Administrative skills and knowledge and use of general office equipment. Working within a school we expect you to understand the importance of safeguarding and have a passion for working with and supporting children.
