We're hiring a Specialist Women’s Refuge Deputy Service Manager someone who is passionate about supporting women and their children and is committed to their rights and safety. This role offers the opportunity to lead and support a refuge for women and children surviving domestic abuse, many of whom are living with trauma. You'll ensure the team are empowered, with the right tools and resources todeliver a seamless service that supports residents through their healing journey, helping them overcome personal challenges and work towards independence and their goals.
The service spans over 3 buildings and you will help lead a team of support mentors and children and family workers.&nbsp;We’re looking for a solution focused leader who is passionate about the resident group, committed to trauma informed and inclusive practice, and driven to make lasting change. The King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH) is looking for an experienced dental therapist to join their friendly and supportive team.
The dental team (3 clinicians and 5 nurses), delivers a comprehensive range of oral health services to the local population including primary care, public health initiatives, and emergency dental care. The dental facility boasts three well-equipped surgeries with digital radiography and a small laboratory area, following UK standards of care while tailoring practices to meet the unique local needs.
The Role
This position presents an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to contribute to the oral health of the Falkland Islands, delivering quality restorative and preventative dental care as part of the dental team.
Specific benefits of this position include:

<li>The support of a dental nurse in surgery,</li>

The Person Must

<li>Hold a degree in Dental Therapy &amp; Hygiene BSc (or recognised equivalent),</li>
<li>Be registered with the UK General Dental Council (GDC) as a dental therapist and have relevant work experience in the role, ideally in a UK NHS practice or similar,</li>
<li>Have strong communication skills,</li>
<li>Be able to work and communicate effectively as part of a busy dental team.</li>
</ul>
The Package

<li>Fixed term contract of 2-4 years</li>
<li>Total package equivalent of £61,752 per annum, comprised of £41,168 base salary plus 25% market supplement on the base salary, with a 25% gratuity (lump sum payment) for successful contract completion being awarded at the end of the contract term.</li>
<li>A work week of 5 hours, Monday to Friday, with no on-call or out-of-hours requirements,</li>
<li>41 days of paid leave: 30 days of annual leave and 11 days of public/government holiday,</li>

About the Role:
The Senior Information Governance Officer role is responsible for providing advice and assistance in relation to complex Freedom of Information (FOI), Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) and Data Protection (DP) requests for information.&nbsp; The post is based within the Information Governance team which is part of Law &amp; Corporate Services Directorate.&nbsp; The role supports the work of the Data Protection Officer and the Deputy Data Protection Officer.&nbsp; This role works across all Council Directorates and is pivotal in ensuring the Council’s compliance with legislative requirements.
About the candidate:
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and customer service skills.&nbsp; You will be required to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing a high volume of time sensitive information requests. The ability to work on your own initiative but also to work collaboratively as part of a team is key.&nbsp; Your role will provide advice and guidance across the Council to all Directorates.&nbsp; The successful candidate will be required to have an excellent working knowledge of FOI, EIR and DP Legislation and experience of working in an Information Governance role.

<h3>THE ROLE</h3>
The Offshore Petroleum Health and Safety Manager is responsible for leading a team of Inspectors within DMR, the Offshore Petroleum Health and Safety Manager deals with ensuring the regulation of offshore petroleum developments and takes full account of all Health and Safety aspects, through a robust inspection programme and the effective implementation of legislation, in line with Falkland Islands Government policy. The post holder will also contribute to the development of industry guidance, standards and operational strategy.
<h3>THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Be able to demonstrate they have 7 to 10 years’ experience of working in Health and Safety regulation of the oil and gas industry, or another industry presenting major hazards, including reviewing and assessing Environmental Impact Assessments and Safety Cases.</li>
<li>Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a health and safety discipline, or other evidence of suitable training and job experience to the offshore petroleum industry.</li>
<li>Hold a Master’s degree or Post Grad Diploma (or equivalent) in a health and safety discipline containing significant content relating to the offshore petroleum industry</li>

The Offshore Petroleum Head of Health, Safety and Environment primarily acts as the de facto Health, Safety and Environmental ‘Regulator’ for all offshore petroleum development activity on behalf of the Government.
The role includes, but is not limited to, providing strategic and tactical leadership of the Health, Safety and Environmental elements of this critical regulatory function and ensuring the regulation of all Falkland Islands offshore petroleum developments take full account of all Environmental and Health and Safety aspects, in line with Falkland Islands Government policy and legislation. The post holder also leads on the development and oversight of industry guidance, standards and operational strategy on behalf of the Government
<h3>THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:</h3>

<li>Have extensive experience (10+years) experience of effectively leading complex and large-scale teams, projects and programmes of a similar level, ideally in a regulatory capacity</li>
<li>Have evidence of working in a senior operational HSE or regulatory roles, including responsibility for effective business and financial planning and project management</li>
<li>Have knowledge/experience of the hydrocarbon industry, or another industrial sector presenting major hazards</li>

<h3>THE ROLE</h3>
Offshore Petroleum Health and Safety Inspectors are responsible for inspecting and investigating onshore and offshore oil and gas installations situated in Falkland Islands. The role involves the assessment and control of physical, chemical and biological health risks, and could include hazards such as hydrogen sulphide, crude oil, drilling muds, asbestos, noise and vibration, as well as and maintaining and participating in an effective 24/7 response capability. The post holder will also contribute to the development of industry guidance, standards and operational strategy.
<h3>THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Have at least five years’ experience of working in health and safety regulation of the offshore petroleum industry, or another industrial sector presenting major hazards, including reviewing and assessing Safety Cases and other operator H&amp;S submissions.</li>
<li>Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant health safety, engineering or science discipline, or other evidence of suitable training and job experience or Master Mariner STCW 11/2 (preferably unrestricted but will consider restricted).</li>
<li>Hold a Professional Membership of an appropriate institute associated with Health Safety, Engineering or Science.</li>
<li>Possess a valid OPITO Basic Offshore Survival Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) with Compressed air emergency breathing system (CA-EBS) or equivalent with additional OPITO Minimum Industry Training Standard (MIST).</li>
<li>Be proficient in database, productivity and presentation software such as Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, etc.</li>
<li>Have strong and efficient research skills and the ability to gather, sift and understand large amounts of information to identify key trends and issues.</li>
<li>Have the ability to effectively conduct stakeholder engagement and public consultations.</li>
<li>Have excellent verbal and written communication – ability to express ideas and impart key messages.</li>

Play Area Maintenance Operative
About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated individual to help maintain Wirral’s Play Areas, Outdoor Gym Equipment, and Multi-Use Games Areas, ensuring they remain safe, clean, and fully functional for the community.
This position is essential for safeguarding the community by maintaining high standards of safety and functionality across all play and recreation sites. The following is required:

<li>Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to play areas.</li>
<li>Experience in maintenance and repair of outdoor equipment (desirable).</li>

About the candidate:
You will carry out routine and scheduled inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and identify potential hazards along with the following:

<li>Perform cleaning, maintenance, and repairs on play equipment, surfacing, and site furniture, including signage, seating, fencing, and gates.</li>
