Job Title: 7.5 Tonne Driver
Location of work: Earlswood Depot, Redhill
Salary: £27,501 - £28,110 per annum
Basis: Full-time, Permanent, 36 hours a week, 6am-2pm Monday-Thursday, 6am-12.30pm Friday

Our Recycling &amp; Refuse Team perform a key role in providing an excellent recycling and refuse collection service to the Council’s residents.
You will be able to work outdoors in all weathers, and deal with a very physically demanding job. It is essential that you are a team player and can communicate with your colleagues and customers, clearly and politely; showing a clear understanding of what good customer care is.
Compliance with health and safety guidance is very important for you, team members and the public, due to the heavy lifting machinery, dust, and fumes. Guidance, training, and personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided to all successful candidates.
About the Role:

<li>Deliver garden waste bins to new members</li>
<li>Deliver bin sets to new developments</li>
<li>Repair/replace damaged/lost bins/container</li>
<li>Bulk Waste Collections from various addresses across the Borough</li>
<li>Exchange bins for residents paying for an upgraded bin</li>
<li>Retrieval of garden waste bins from cancelled membership</li>
<li>Delivery/retrieval of commercial waste bins to new and existing</li>
<li>Ensure all bins/container are delivered within the councils SLA</li>
<li>Keep bin storage area tidy</li>
<li>Accepting bin deliveries (from an articulated lorry) and storage</li>
<li>Prepare bins for deliveries to new developments</li>
<li>Understand stock control and advise when orders are required</li>
<li>Prepare second-hand garden waste bins for reuse</li>
<li>Remove reusable parts from containers being sent for scrappage</li>
</ul>
About the Person:
<ul>
<li>You will have the commitment to start the day at 6am and work a 36-hour week Monday to Friday</li>
<li>Your clean driving licence (speeding points will be discussed) will allow you to drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle and you will have a current and up to date CPC</li>
<li>You must have a Tachograph card</li>
<li>You will have a basic Standard of English and Maths and capable of stock control</li>
<li>You will have basic computer skills (required to operate in cab tablet)</li>
<li>You should have a good knowledge of Health and Safety</li>
<li>You will Previous experience of working outdoors in all weathers</li>
<li>You will demonstrate good customer care skills</li>

Job Title: Reserve Driver Location of work: Earlswood Depot Salary: £35,157.50 - £35,906.25 (dependent on experience)&nbsp; Basis: Full time, Permanent, 45 hours per week
About the Role: We are looking to recruit someone with a full HGV Class 2/C &amp; E driving licence to help us cover a variety of duties within Refuse &amp; Recycling. You will be working towards or willing to undertake CPC training.
As a Reserve Driver you will undertake the collection of waste and recycling within the borough of Reigate and Banstead. It is essential you have a flexible approach to the work and hours. Your main duty will be driving for us although when required, you must be willing to work as a loader covering any service within the Neighbourhood Services team.
Some of the duties include:
<ul>
<li>Undertake either working alone or as part of a team, the collection of Waste and Recycling services at a variety of locations throughout the Borough.</li>
<li>Use the waste management systems (Bartec) to complete rounds and report issues.</li>
<li>Receive instructions regarding exempt collections, special arrangements and specific collection points and ensuring these are carried out.</li>
<li>When disposing of Waste, abide by the rules set out by the allocated transfer station.</li>
<li>Advise the public on the Borough’s Refuse, Recycling and Cleansing regime where necessary.</li>
<li>If no driving duties are available, undertake loading duties and undertake ad hoc duties as required, within the scope of the job.</li>
</ul>

About the role Are you a qualified Arborist/Tree Surgeon with excellent customer service skills? Do you want to work alongside a supportive team to deliver the maintenance of tree stock within the borough? Then this will certainly be the job for you!
Our friendly and dedicated Greenspaces Team is looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Arborist to join them. You will be required to support the delivery of the maintenance of tree stock within the borough of Reigate &amp; Banstead which will involve undertaking a full range of arboricultural works including pruning, felling and working at height. You will undertake a range of specialist tree management activities, such as coppicing and thinning and identify a range of tree species, to inspect, survey and recognise specific defects and associated hazards within individual trees.
You will also carry out and be responsible for the safe and correct application of pesticides, herbicides, and other chemicals, write and record site specific risk assessments and assist in the execution of all aspects of individual arboricultural operations and long-term work schedules. There will also be a requirement for you to support existing team in responding to emergency works and manage the on-site working environment when necessary.
About the Person:

<li>You will have strong experience of climbing and arboriculture operations.</li>
<li>You will have led an arb team/senior arborist.</li>
<li>You must have up to date appropriate First Aid training with climbing operations </li>
