The service is placed within a large group of specialists including peripatetic teachers for Autism, Vision and Multi-Sensory Impairment.

Teacher of the Deaf manages an individual caseload of deaf children/young people aged 0-25 working closely with maintained nurseries and early year’s settings in the private, voluntary, and independent sectors, schools, and post 16 providers to deliver high quality specialist interventions to support the learning and development of deaf children/young people and support their families, to ensure they have equal access to education opportunities, sustain progress and enable them to achieve their full potential.
