
Business Support Assistant Team Leader
You will be responsible for overseeing the management of a Business Support team that is based in Tamworth. The team supports a wide variety of practitioners working within the Children & Families directorate.
There are currently 18 colleagues within this team, supporting colleagues from a variety of teams for e.g. SEND, Assessment & Staying Together Social Work Teams, Children In Care & Care Leavers and Fostering Teams.
You will have the responsibility for the day to day management of some of these individuals with the support of a Business Support Team Leader. Management will include overseeing their performance management and the deployment of work to meet the needs of the Service.
Main ResponsibilitiesYou will be :
- involved in the day to day monitoring, mentoring and provision of support and guidance to nominate Business Support staff, including 1:1 conversation's and the application of HR procedures.
- assisting and deputising for the Business Support team Leader in the coordination and deployment of staff and work required to meet the needs of the service.
- undertaking a full range of financial management processes in accordance with the financial regulations and as directed including budget monitoring, managing and using purchase cards, authorising transactions, providing advice and support to district based staff.
You will have:
- a Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience in Business Administration
- evidence of literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Mathematics.'
- the ability to lead, motivate and support the development of individuals
- extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365
- experience of maintaining financial information for audit requirements and an understanding of the financial regulations
- previous experience of servicing meetings including notetaking.
- good written and oral communication skills

Salary range
- £27,254 - £30,024 per year
