We are looking to recruit a Driver Operative to join our Residential cleansing team within the Neighbourhood and Housing Directorate.

• In the role of Driver Operative you will work as part of the residential cleansing team and will drive and operate a range of company vehicles in accordance with relevant legislation, company policies and protocols. You will be required to undertake manual and mechanical plant and equipment methods of operation and use technical devices to record activites and assist in the improvement of the service.
• Duties as part of the role for a Driver Operative include litter picking public streets, highways, grassed areas/verges, emptying of street litter bins throughout the city and removal of faeces and dead animals as part of normal duties.
• In the role of Driver Operative you will be required to remove any weed growth and leaf clearance throughout the city and deal with any enquires recieved whilst working on the network. You will be required to assist with reactive tasks providing a targated and flexible response to any environmental problems reported.

To be applicable for this role you must hold a full UK driving licence and have knowledge of health and safety requirements associated with street cleansing operations.
