Our Team:

This role is part of Halton Health Improvement Team within Public Health and is accountable to the Health Improvement Principal Manager. The post-holder will be responsible for managing the well-established ‘Start Well’ team to deliver programmes and initiatives to promote a healthy start for children, including breastfeeding, and support families with health and wellbeing.

You will provide strategic leadership and expertise on child and families healthy lifestyles, working alongside other Practice Managers within the wider Health Improvement Team, and working closely with partners through Halton Family Hubs.

You will be based at Runcorn Town Hall, with the option of flexible hybrid working.

Hours: 37 per week

Your Contributions:

• Supporting effective partnerships working across statutory, voluntary, and independent sectors to identify and mobilise appropriate resources

• Identify research opportunities and develop new initiatives with partner organisations and community groups to improve and extend services, particularly for identified target groups and priority areas

• Provide specialist health improvement advice to schools, early years settings, primary and secondary care teams, local authorities, and community groups, using evidence-based practice.

• You will be accountable to the Health Improvement Principal Manager for effective communication within the service area, identifying resource needs, and contributing to the strategic planning and development of services

• Ensuring services reflect population needs and are inclusive, considering age, race, culture, disability, gender, and sexuality
