We're looking for a motivated and community-focused Young Peoples Project Officer to deliver impactful programmes across Greenwich and Bexley. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside young people, residents, partners and stakeholders to improve outcomes and create opportunities that help young people become healthier, wealthier and happier.

What your role will look like:

  • Deliver projects and programmes that support young people across Greenwich and Bexley
  • Build and maintain partnerships across local authorities, health services, schools, employers and community organisations
  • Manage projects, volunteers and apprentices to achieve positive outcomes for young people
  • Support the development of services that reflect the needs, aspirations and voices of young people and their families
  • Ensure programmes are high quality, inclusive and demonstrate positive outcomes
  • Monitor performance, evaluate impact and contribute to funder and stakeholder reporting
  • Support the promotion of services and opportunities to increase engagement with young people
  • Ensure safeguarding remains central to all aspects of delivery

What your day might look like:

  • Meeting with young people, residents and partners to understand local needs and priorities
  • Coordinating projects and opportunities that support young people's development and aspirations
  • Working with schools, community groups and partner organisations to deliver local services
  • Reviewing project performance and tracking progress against plans and targets
  • Producing reports, gathering insight and analysing data to demonstrate impact
  • Working with colleagues to promote programmes and encourage participation

What you’ll need

  • Experience delivering programmes that improve outcomes for children, families or young people
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Experience working collaboratively with a range of partners and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and best practice when working with children and families
  • Experience monitoring, evaluating and demonstrating project impact
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and influencing skills
  • Confidence using data, reporting information and Microsoft Office applications

It would be great if you also have

  • A relevant professional qualification
  • Experience working within housing, regeneration or community development settings
