We are looking for an experiencedSenior Information Officer to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will provide a professional information management service that supports the delivery of high-quality services for children, young people and families across Birmingham.

Working closely with colleagues, stakeholders and partner agencies, you will lead on allocated information management workstreams, ensuring data, systems and reporting processes support effective decision-making, performance management and service improvement. You will play a key role in managing and analysing information, maintaining data quality standards, supporting system development and promoting a knowledge-sharing culture across the Trust.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong information management, data analysis and reporting experience who is passionate about using data and technology to improve outcomes for children and young people.

We have been rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, following a 2023 inspection. This is a fantastic achievement for Birmingham Children's Trust, with many positive highlights focusing on areas including the quality of staff leadership, partnership working, safeguarding and corporate parenting.

This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham, UK so you must have the correct right-to-work documents to work in the UK. Sadly, we do not support those who require sponsorship or are on a Visa.

About You

  • Hold a professional qualification (or equivalent relevant experience) in Information Management, Digital Services, Business Analysis or a related discipline, with evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Have significant experience working within an information management, data or IT-related role.
  • Possess strong data analysis, reporting and information management skills, including experience working with databases, datasets and management information.
  • Have experience supporting the development, maintenance and improvement of systems and reporting tools within a large and complex organisation.
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of data quality principles, governance and lifecycle management.
  • Have experience producing high-quality reports, scorecards and performance information to tight deadlines.
  • Possess a good understanding of social care case management systems or similar complex systems.
  • Be confident in managing and prioritising a varied workload while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and partner agencies.
  • Be able to interpret complex information, policies and reports and present findings clearly to a range of audiences.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to influence and collaborate on complex issues.
  • Be confident using technology and adapting to new digital solutions and system developments.
  • Have experience supporting quality assurance, continuous improvement and evidence-based decision making.
  • Be committed to safeguarding children and promoting positive outcomes for children, young people and families.
  • Champion equality, diversity and inclusion, treating everyone with respect and fairness.
