The Housing Officer role is a fully generic role delivering a comprehensive housing management service to a cohort of Portsmouth Homes tenants. The role is predominantly reactive, to help support and empower tenants to be able to sustain and maintain their tenancies and live their best lives, whilst feeling safe and secure in their homes and communities. Responsibility starts with the viewing of an empty property, with prospective tenants, and the need to ensure that the property meets their Housing Need and is suitable in terms of other factors. Reporting to the Tonbridge Castle, Events &amp; Customer Services Manager, you will undertake a customer facing role supporting our telephony service to residents providing excellent multi skilled customer service across all access channels as well as Tonbridge Tourist Information Centre, Castle Attraction and Conference Centre.
Educated to GCSE grade C standard or above in maths and English (or equivalent), you will have previous experience of providing a customer focussed, front-line, public enquiry service. &nbsp;You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, and demonstrate confident IT skills.
There is a lot to learn, so you must be prepared to assimilate and retain a large amount of information quickly and demonstrate a “can-do” approach to your work. &nbsp;In return we will give you excellent ongoing training and support.
