Job requirements:
Working as part of a small team, in this role the postholder will provide support to the Social Housing Programme including day to day oversight of services delivered to council tenants, supporting governance and providing finance and administrative support.
The post holder will work closely with service providers, particularly the Council’s Housing Management Agent who will provide housing management and maintenance services to council tenants. The post holder will be a key point of contact in the council for customer service and engagement ensuring that customers receive the highest quality service for the homes they live in. The post holder will lead on tenant engagement, ensuring tenants are supported in the involvement in the management of their homes working closely and liaising with the management agent.

This role plays a key part in reducing drug and alcohol-related offending by supporting individuals within the criminal justice system to access community-based treatment services. These services aim to address and challenge the relationship between substance use and offending behaviour.
You will have experience working within the criminal justice system, along with a strong understanding of the impact of drug and alcohol-related offending. You will be confident in building effective working relationships with both criminal justice and community partners to maximise opportunities for engaging individuals in support and treatment.
This role is office based with the requirement to deliver interventions in the wider community.

Drug related offending can lead to people becoming trapped in a cycle of offending behaviour.&nbsp; It does not only effect the individual, it also affects their families and the wider community. &nbsp;By working with both adults and young people involved in the criminal justice system, we have the opportunity to engage with individuals at the earliest possible stage, helping them to change the direction of their lives and build a more positive future.
Teamwork and strong partnership working are essential to the success of this service.&nbsp; Building effective relationships with key partner agencies will ensure that individuals receive the right support at the right time, increasing the chances of sustained recovery and reduced re-offending.

The Role
The Falkland Islands Government is seeking to recruit an Advanced Practitioner who will be experienced in all areas Adult Services. You will work with vulnerable adults within the community but you must be prepared to work flexibly as our role is generic, spanning the whole spectrum of tasks and client groups due to the small size of the community. Developing policy for Adult and Children’s social care will be a key element of this role.
The Person
You will be a qualified social worker with five years post qualifying experience within Adult’s Services and will have a flexible and adaptable approach and a commitment to quality. You should also be registered with a relevant registration body. You will hold a post qualifying award, Best Interest Assessor and being qualified in Achieving Best Evidence would be an advantage. Experience of Signs of Safety would be beneficial.
The Role
You will take a lead role in developing and delivering the social work service to vulnerable adults and their families. Your work will include leading adult safeguarding investigations, undertaking assessments and reviews, policy development and community services development.

Crawley Homes is looking for a dedicated and proactive Housing Officer to join our dynamic Tenancy Services team.
