The Governors of St. Jerome’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil (Year 4) with Special Educational Needs. We are a busy front-line service dealing directly with customers, many of whom are vulnerable and disadvantaged. We give advice and assistance to our customers to resolve their housing need and make assessments of their housing and support needs in accordance with the Housing Act 1996, and Portsmouth City Council's Allocations Scheme. In this role, you will help manage customer demand, prioritising work to ensure enquiries are dealt with in the appropriate timescales. You will handle initial enquiries from customers wanting to join the housing register, analysing these enquiries to understand the main presenting demand and determine whether the customer has provided enough information to support an application. This will often require you to review existing notes and documents held by the department and make further enquiries with the customer. You will also handle enquiries from customers who want information regarding an existing application or to question the outcome of a recent assessment. You will be required to determine whether the enquiry should be reassessed or if it meets the threshold for a formal review. You will manage requests from the Council's social housing partners asking us to nominate new tenants to their vacant properties. You will review these requests to ensure the landlord has provided all the information needed to successfully allocate the property. Where information is missing or inaccurate you will liaise with the landlord to gather the correct details. You will record new customer enquiries and new allocation requests onto our IT systems and assigning these tasks fairly and appropriately to the Housing Register &amp; Allocation Officers. Using our IT systems, you will record appropriate system notes, ensuring a clear and auditable trail of your actions and decisions, and extract data to provide measures to help us understand and inform the work. You will provide administrative support to your manager &amp; colleagues, for example printing &amp; sending letters, helping to arrange customer appointments, or recording the minutes at meetings. You will need excellent communication skills, patience and empathy as well as resilience and an ability to think on your feet and manage multiple priorities. About the Role:
We have a new opportunity within our Housing Standards Team to drive forward our housing agenda and passion to support our customers as well as prepare for new legislation in the Renters Rights Bill.
In these roles, you'll be responsible for mentoring less experienced housing standards officers in their development into confident enforcement officers across the Borough by working pro-actively, providing advice and guidance, undertaking more complex property inspections.
You will undertake more complex caseloads for statutory enforcement using relevant housing legislation, conduct interviews, brief legal officers, prepare cases for court and attend tribunals, court hearings and public enquiries as required.
About the candidate:
We would like to hear from you if you have a keen interest in developing, managing and monitoring initiatives including Mandatory HMO and Selective Licensing, Healthy Homes, Empty Properties, Financial Assistance and our emerging response to damp &amp; mould complaints and other new approaches to improving private sector housing.
Ultimately, we are looking for candidates who have a passion to drive up standards.
We would welcome candidates who have a demonstrable and strong track record in housing enforcement and want to develop their careers in a board multi-disciplinary environment where training and development of individuals is key.
You should be customer focused with excellent interpersonal skills as well a detailed practical knowledge of the legislative powers under the Housing Act; sound knowledge of building construction and competence using Information and Communication Technology, including Microsoft Office, &amp; Teams and case management systems.

Working in the Council’s DDaT Team you will be exposed to a wide variety of technologies, challenges, and opportunities to upskill. Working in a continuous improvement model - You will be part of a motivated and forward-thinking technology team and get the opportunity to contribute to the effective delivery of the Council’s Digital Strategies, improve the Customer and Employee experience, and ensure that critical data is available.&nbsp;&nbsp;
This is a hybrid role which aims to be working in the office at least 2 days a week.

About the role:
Horsham District Council is looking for a Driver Operative to work within the Waste and Recycling teams.
As a qualified Driver, you will possess the minimum requirement of a clean Category C HGV licence as well as up to date CPC.&nbsp;&nbsp;It would also be an advantage if you hold a current digital tachograph card but this can be arranged as required.
You will be required to take the lead on the round, ensuring that all Health and Safety practices are adhered to by you and your crew. You will also be able to complete all administrative processes associated with your round and operate our in-cab system, Bartec, for which training will be provided ensuring accurate data entry into our system particularly for missed, contaminated, and damaged bins.
Bank holiday working is contractual, except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day. Where bank holidays are worked, pay is at the rate of triple time for each bank holiday. Saturday catch-up working is contractual at Christmas and New Year, paid at the rate of time and a half.

About the role:
Horsham District Council is looking for a Vehicle Fitter to work as part of a team responsible for assisting with the maintenance of Horsham District Council vehicles, ensuring the work is carried out to required standards as set out by the Council and Transport Legislation.
As a Vehicle Fitter you will work within a team to ensure that the fleet of vehicles conform to current legislation and legal standards of roadworthiness, carrying out safety inspections to the vehicle fleet according to the Council’s fleet inspection programmes and report findings. You will be responsible in completing relevant documentation regarding vehicle maintenance and repairs ensuring accurate records are maintained.

About you:

You will need to participate in the training and learning of alternative fuelled vehicles, either battery, electric or hydrogen.

<h3>About you...</h3>
You must have a current Social Work England registration and at least three years post qualifying experience within Children’s Social Care that includes child protection. To succeed in this role, you will have an in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, policies and thresholds. Strong experience in multi-agency working, along with excellent skills in assessment, analysis and recording, as well as the confidence to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and lead in complex situations, are also essential for this role.
You will role model and champion good social work practice, are able to evidence relevant continued professional development and will support others in sharing your knowledge and experience to contribute to our inclusive culture.

The Duty and Assessment team acts as the front door for Children’s Social Care and carries out short term work. Working alongside and directly with children, young people, and their families.

<h3>Key responsibilities...</h3>

<li>To carry out needs led child focused assessments which include outcome focused plans.</li>
<li>To work alongside other professionals and partner agencies in assessing children in need and undertake child protection enquiries.</li>
<li>To be the allocated Social Worker for duty caseload of single assessments under S17 and S47 investigations, with some short-term work.</li>
<li>To take part in the duty system responding to child protection concerns.</li>
<li>To develop and maintain accurate case records and comply with the department's policies, procedures and guidelines including data protection and GDPR.</li>
<li>To participate in regular reflective supervision and be able to set clear goals and intervention strategies.</li>

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-performing service that operates across 250 square miles of central Hampshire, encompassing a rich variety of historic towns, picturesque villages and attractive rural landscapes.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in plan checking and site inspections, along with strong communication and IT skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to effectively organise and prioritise a varied workload. A thorough understanding of the Building Act 1984, the Building Regulations, and the Building Safety Act 2022 is essential.
