Our Adult Social Care service is composed of highly professional and supportive multidisciplinary teams. We have a “can do” and “no wrong door” ethos. Our teams work together as one service and go the extra mile to ensure our residents have the right support.&nbsp;
We work closely with health and other partners to ensure people avoid unnecessary hospital admissions. If hospital care is needed, we make sure it is only for as long as necessary and we focus on helping them return home as quickly and safely as possible.
We have a range of intermediate care and discharge to assess services that focus on keeping people in their own homes.&nbsp;
Recognising the challenges working in Adult Social Care, we make sure our staff are well supported.&nbsp; You will receive regular supervision and access to training. Our focus is on supporting staff to learn, grow and develop, helping them achieve their full potential. We actively listen to social care staff about the best ways to deliver services and encourage feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement.

We're looking for a Service Manager to join our team based in RBKC. You will manage multiple dispersed services within the area. The Job Role
As Civic Chauffeur, you will be responsible for transporting the Chairman and Civic party to official engagements, ensuring timely arrivals through effective route planning and providing courteous support throughout events. You will also assist with the care and security of the Chains of Office, maintain the Civic vehicle to a high standard, and support the Civic Officer in hosting events.
The role also includes administrative tasks, photography for Civic records, and occasionally deputising for the Civic Officer. This is a key role in representing the Council at public functions and supporting the smooth delivery of Civic events.
About You
This role involves long and unsociable hours, and the workload can fluctuate significantly due to the nature of Civic engagements. The successful candidate must therefore be highly flexible, with the ability to work variable shifts — including evenings and weekends — sometimes at short notice.
You must hold a full, clean driving licence and be confident in planning routes and driving to a high standard. While previous chauffeuring experience is desirable, full training will be provided. We are looking for someone who is positive, hardworking, and reliable, with a professional and courteous manner. You should be comfortable working independently, take pride in your appearance and conduct, and be willing to support the wider Democratic Services team when needed.

<li>To adopt and promote a strengths-based approach to the role and maintain a professional and respectful working relationship with individual customers and carers.</li>
<li>To direct, support and undertake risk assessments and formulate risk management plans, having regard for the safety of customers and others, whilst promoting independence and supporting positive risk enablement where appropriate.</li>
<li>To work in accordance with statutory legislation and the Council’s policies and procedures.</li>
<li>To identify (and support others to identify) and/or make enquiries concerning any allegations of potential abuse or neglect of adults with care and support needs with a view to the development and implementation of safeguarding plans which maintain their safety and the safety of others, within the multi-agency safeguarding adults procedures. To act as SAM (Safeguarding Adults Manager) on enquiries being undertaken by less experienced staff.</li>
<li>Chair meetings and case conferences (e.g. professionals meetings, case conferences, MDT’s etc.)</li>

Candidate requirements
<ul>
<li>Professional Social Work qualification</li>
<li>Current registration to professional governing body - Social Work England</li>
<li>Full EU driving license (and access to daily use of a car)</li>
<li>Good working knowledge of the statutory framework for the relevant care group and of an appropriate range of professional interventions</li>
<li>Minimum of 3 years (including ASYE) post qualification experience in Adult Social Care or Health Care environment</li>
<li>Demonstrable ability to lead, motivate, supervise and performance manage staff</li>
