What’s the role?
Housing Services Directorate is looking to appoint an Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Team Leader to manage a team of six Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Officers responsible for offering suitable accommodation under S188 and S193 duties. Successful management of this service area will ensure we deliver a high quality, customer-focused approach to our applicants eligible for homelessness assistance and continuous improvement and efficiency in the service delivery. In addition, you will ensure officers complete S208, enforce offer of suitable accommodation, correctly undertake the discharge of duty and complete all other tasks relevant to their role.

What we’re looking for
We are seeking an experienced Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Team Leader with a good working knowledge of managing a team responsible for offering accommodation under S188 and S193, Part 6 &amp; 7 of the Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Act 2002 and Localism Act 2011 and its application. You must have knowledge and understanding of the activities, functions and processes involved in offering suitable accommodation under S188 and S193 as well as issuing discharge of duty decisions.

Location:&nbsp;Islington, London, (Around a 10 minute walk from Highbury and Islington station) Hybrid working with 2 days a week in the office and service visits regularly across London, Brighton, Luton, Bedford, Kent, and Liverpool. Once a month, the full People and Culture team have a collaborative office day on a Monday.&nbsp;
Salary:&nbsp;£27,000
Shift Pattern:&nbsp;Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00, with some flexibility around these hours as required.
About the role
Our People and Culture team are hiring a Payroll and Pensions Administrator to join the team to support with ensuring our staff are paid efficiently, accurately, and on time. You will play a pivotal part of the team to support with the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for all, coordinating effective and efficient end-to-end payroll and pensions administration, plus any additional relevant activities. You will utilise the tools and resources available to ensure we meet the needs of all our stakeholders and comply with legal matters. The role will further include:

<li>Taking ownership of administrative tasks in the payroll and pensions process, being the point of contact for enquiries in this area.</li>
<li>Supporting the administrative process of payroll and pensions, including with the database/system, ensure that any problems are identified with the relevant departments for effective resolution.</li>
<li>Ensure Full Payment Submissions (FPS) within tight deadlines and process for all adaptations are carried out in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Support relevant colleagues to ensure the correct payments, reports, and returns are made to HMRC, pension providers, and other bodies.</li>
<li>Work in collaboration with functions within the organisation to ensure consistency of information and process.</li>
<li>Ensure all data and reporting is updated in a timely manner across the relevant databases on a regular basis and fit the needs of the business.</li>
</ul>
In this role, you will report to the Payroll and Pensions Manager, working alongside the wider People and Culture team which includes the Generalist team, Talent Acquisition team, Workforce Development, and Talent Development team. Once a month, we meet as a team and come together for a fun activity and collaborative working.

What we’re looking for Reporting to the Director of Housing Strategy, the Head of Private Sector Licencing and Home Improvement will lead a service area that provides strategic direction for the Council’s housing improvement and assistance service and the property licensing and enforcement function. This is an area of the division with big ambition, as we have recently expanded our property licencing schemes and have seen an increase in applications from residents for support from our grants, specifically the Disabled Facilities Grant. Managing a service of up to 100 staff the post-holder will lead our ambitions to work proactively within the private rented sector to drive up standards and safety for Lewisham’s residents. With expertise in the legal framework of regulation and licensing, you’ll be at the forefront of operationalising our new licensing scheme, and will maximise their impact through innovative new approaches to engaging with our residents. You will also be responsible for utilising a home assistance grant of £2million a year to support our most vulnerable residents to live in safe and secure homes from which they can live independent lives. We’re looking for a strategic and inspirational leader, communicator and manager who can demonstrate strong experience of delivering an operational income-generating service, ideally with a background in commercial or regulatory and enforcement services as well as a strong background and experience in managing Disabled Facilities Grants services. This role exists to ensure that appropriate performance licences are issued for children, enabling the Local Authority to meet its statutory responsibility to safeguard those employed in entertainment.By law, children working in entertainment must be supervised by licensed chaperones. This role also ensures the Local Authority fulfils its duty to approve and regulate chaperones, maintaining legal compliance and protecting the welfare of child performers.Duties include:<ul><li>Ensuring that children who perform do so in accordance with the relevant legislation and regulations and are licensed appropriately.</li><li>Issue child performance licenses, Body of Persons exemptions and Chaperone Licenses.</li><li>Revoke or refuse licenses where they do not comply with legislation or for other identified reasons, communicating decisions to all relevant parties.</li><li>Interview/train prospective chaperones to ensure that they are aware of and comply with legal requirements – including DBS. Oversee applications and issue chaperone licenses as appropriate.</li><li>Receive and evaluate personal references in relation to chaperone applications.</li><li>Receive notifications from Human Resources of applications where convictions/cautions are identified.</li><li>Together with the Children in Entertainment Officer conduct risk assessment interviews with chaperone applicants whose DBS Certificate includes convictions, to assess whether a license may be issued and make recommendations to the Service Manager as a result.</li><li>Provide advice and guidance to agents, productions, theatres, schools, parents and other Local Authorities to ensure they comply with all relevant legislation in respect of children who perform.</li><li>Answer complex enquiries from broadcasters, theatres, headteachers, agents and parents which require interpretation of relevant legislation, regulations and guidance.</li><li>Undertake inspections of productions in studios, theatres and off-site locations to ensure children are performing legally in accordance with the terms of their licenses. You will also respond to requests from Coroner’s Officers to facilitate the transfer of deceased persons from and between funeral directors and/or mortuary facilities which may be outside of Berkshire. This role is a casual post, covering vacant shifts when required to ensure continuity of service delivery. About you: The successful applicants will have experience of carrying out coronial removal work, or the transportation of the deceased for an organisation or funeral director. You will also need to have experience of commercial driving. The ability to deal with the bereaved in a sensitive and tactful manner is essential as well as having the emotional resilience to cope with distressing and unpleasant scenes and situations. The successful applicants will also have the ability to carry out the physical aspect of the role, such as heavy lifting, pushing and pulling. Are you a highly organised and proactive individual with a passion for public safety and customer service? We have an exciting and high-profile opportunity for a Senior Civil Enforcement Officer to join our Parking Services Team on a fixed term basis. Based at the Civic Centre in Addlestone's regenerated town centre, you'll play a key role in ensuring the effective and efficient management of off-street parking across the Borough.
The Role
As a Senior Civil Enforcement Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Civil Enforcement Team. You will work on a rota basis, ensuring public safety and encouraging considerate parking by taking appropriate action against illegally parked vehicles. Your primary goal is to minimize disruption for other drivers and ensure fair use of the Council's car parks.
In addition to your enforcement duties, you'll handle more complex inquiries, informal challenges, and first-stage complaints from the public. You will also work closely with the Customer Services and Parking Manager to drive business transformation, challenge existing service delivery models, and champion new ideas to improve our service.
This role requires you to be out of the office for the majority of your time, so you must be a self-starter who can work on your own initiative with minimal supervision. You will be expected to meet strict deadlines and collaborate effectively with your team.

The ideal candidate will have a flexible and adaptable working style with excellent communication skills. You must be able to work under pressure and enjoy working with the public.
Key Requirements:

About the role
We’re looking for a social media and community officer to join our team and work across our large online communities on social media and our peer-to-peer support forum. You’ll be a key part of our day-to-day delivery of content and engagement and ensure that our key messages reach our audiences.
