I need someone that they feel comfortable with and who can connect with them, to form a trusting bond. They should be empathetic and understanding of their needs. They should also be active as they love walks and the outdoors. I am looking for someone that could spend time with them in the park, going swimming, out for walks or playing together at home. I would also like someone that would possibly be willing to join us on family days out.
I would need someone that is first aid trained and able to manage when they have seizures and feel happy/comfortable to give medications. I am happy to train you in this.

The IPO is a modern organisation which depends on its IT services to operate and innovate effectively. To provide up to date services to our customers systems need to be developed, improved, and maintained. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the core applications are reviewed and continually improved.
You will need the appetite to learn new technologies and methodologies for delivering high quality IT services. In this role you will work within a multi-disciplined squad using several technologies to build enterprise grade services. Working Style
This role will be carried out in-line with IPO Hybrid working arrangements where staff are currently expected to spend at least 20% of their time working onsite from one of our offices. This role is based in our&nbsp;Newport Office.

In this role you will work within a multi-disciplined team using several technologies to build enterprise grade services as well as mentoring and coaching team members. You will be expected to be proactive and take accountability for the teams assigned deliverables. The role will also require the investigation, diagnosis and fix of any system issues.&nbsp;
A Lead Developer is expected to contribute to the technical strategy for the department. Formal line management duties also form the key duties of this role.&nbsp;
As a multi-skilled individual with strong front end and UX skills, you will have the opportunity to develop and mature your skills even further and extend your skills set with those typically aligned to other role types. You will have a high level of input in defining which additional skills you can develop. Any back-end skills you have can also be utilised within this role.
Main duties consist of but are not limited to:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Be responsible for the design, coding, testing and documentation of small scale to large, complex or mission critical applications and solutions in a cloud first environment</li>
<li>Build web based Front End interfaces interacting with RESTful APIs using React, Next JS and other web technologies</li>
<li>Work closely with test engineers to reach a common understanding of acceptance criteria, the code base and test coverage</li>
<li>Implement toolkits and APIs for purposes such as integration, performance optimisation, security and scalability</li>
<li>Proactively investigate problems and opportunities in existing processes, evaluating and communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders</li>
<li>Identify and manage problems, incidents, risks and issues in line with IPO standards</li>
<li>Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver highly user focused and successful digital services ensuring governance standards are adhered to</li>
<li>Keeping an open mind and exploring innovative ways to solve problems, working in a fail-fast fashion to provide required functionality</li>
<li>Support assessment of the Public Digital Services we produce by adhering to, demonstrating and documenting compliance with GDS (Government Digital Services) standards</li>

Working Style&nbsp;
This role will be carried out in-line with IPO Hybrid working arrangements where staff are currently expected to spend at least 20% of their time working onsite from one of our offices. This role is based in our Newport Office.&nbsp;
The requirement for attendance at an office location can vary by role so we would encourage candidates to discuss working arrangements with the recruiting manager to agree a reasonable balance between working from home and the office.

Essential Experience&nbsp;

<li>Has been a key player in delivering technical solutions as part of large projects</li>
<li>Experienced with modern delivery models such as Scrum and other Agile</li>
<li>Experience working in a Microsoft Azure Cloud first team</li>
<li>Experience with Azure DevOps</li>
<li>Experience writing Unit Tests, using tools such as MS Test, and an understanding of TDD principles&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
Essential Technical Skills&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Experience working with RESTful web services</li>
<li>Excellent understanding of React and experience with Next JS</li>
<li>Excellent understanding of Node JS</li>
<li>Understanding of DevOps principles</li>
