This team plays a key role in assessing the costs of large-scale electricity transmission infrastructure projects, including offshore, onshore and interconnector developments, to ensure they deliver value for money for consumers. </p><p>This is a cost-focused infrastructure role, ideal for someone with experience in engineering economics, capital project delivery or infrastructure cost modelling. You’ll lead the scrutiny of detailed cost submissions from developers, benchmark costs across projects and help shape the regulatory decisions that guide billions of pounds of investment in the UK’s energy networks. </p><p>You’ll be responsible for managing the assessment of multiple major projects each year, working closely with internal colleagues, external consultants and project developers. To enable this transition and meet new demands from industry and households while maintaining security of supply and controlling costs we need to significantly increase investment in the electricity transmission network and maintain the necessary regulatory arrangements to oversee efficient delivery.</p><p>We are looking to recruit a Deputy Director, Electricity Transmission to lead our network regulation of the electricity transmission sector, responsible for the implementation and operation of the new RIIO-3 price control starting in April 2026 and the development of future price reviews. The post-holder will lead the implementation of the new regulatory arrangements under RIIO-3, overseeing this transformational network investment programme while holding the electricity Transmission Owners (TOs) to account for their delivery against key performance targets. </p><p>A key part of the RIIO-3 price control for electricity transmission will be the effective management of all in-period funding mechanisms, overseeing the significant pipeline of investment expected during the 2026 to 2031 RIIO-3 period. This will be essential in facilitating the investment required to deliver new generation and demand, supporting the delivery of clean power targets while ensuring costs remain efficient and deliver excellent value for money for consumers.</p><p>You will also oversee and advise on Ofgem’s overall approach to onshore network regulation, preparing our approach to future price review processes. <p>Horsham District Council is looking for Estate Surveyor (Commercial)&nbsp;to assist in managing our varied portfolio of industrial, commercial, retail, and operational properties. This will involve property management activities such as property inspections, determining repair and improvement work and preparing budget reports as well as estate management work, assisting with rental reviews, lease renewals, rating and letting.</p>
<p>As Estate Surveyor (Commercial)&nbsp;you will provide professional support to a team of experienced Surveyors and be allocated industrial and retail estates to manage. You will be responsible for setting up and coordinating leases with tenants, organising maintenance contractors and developing the property service charge budget and reconciliation. In addition, you will seek to incorporate carbon neutral initiatives.</p>
<p>Other responsibilities include carrying out support tasks for the team including lease plan creation, answering title ownership queries, organising licences, assisting in legal documentation and negotiation, contract administration and collating information for rating or valuation surveyors.</p>
<p><strong>About you:</strong></p>
<p>To succeed as Estate Surveyor (Commercial), you will have at least 5 years property management experience (preferably in commercial property). You will have a willingness to learn and undertake professional development to develop a broad range of skills with the requirements of the service. Good IT, communication skills and effective work planning are essential.&nbsp;&nbsp;You need to work under your own initiative but operate as part of a team and be able to follow instructions accurately and effectively. This role requires travelling around the District, therefore a full UK driving licence is required. <p>The Governors of Dee Point Primary School&nbsp; wish to appoint a temporary 32.5 hour Grade 5 teaching assistant for one of our bespoke resource provision SEND classrooms to cover maternity leave. This role is initially for one year with the view to becoming permanent.&nbsp; &nbsp;Please see the Job Description and Person Specification for this role.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Are you up for a challenge? Environmental Crime, such as Fly Tipping and Littering, is becoming a national issue but Dartford Borough Council are dealing with this problem robustly and are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join our extremely busy Environmental Crime Enforcement Team.&nbsp; We are looking for someone, ideally, with an enforcement background, capable of working on their own but who is also a strong team player who can fit into a busy multi- agency environment.</p>
<p>Waste, Public Realm &amp; Enforcement Services is a multi service environment and you will also be involved, on occasions, with the work of other officers who deal with enforcement, parks and open spaces, events, licencing and town centre business crime partnerships. On occasions, you may deputise for the senior environmental enforcement officer, attend and contribute at regular information and best practice meetings, with other regional borough environmental enforcement teams, the KCC intelligence team, when required. Previous experience of working in a law enforcement, security, community safety or similar role is desirable as is dealing with the public in, sometimes, difficult situations with the ability to stay calm under pressure. Relevant knowledge of environmental crime legislation would be advantageous, but more important is the ability to be confident, diplomatic and assertive. Good ICT skills are required together with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. You should also enjoy analysing information and problem solving as this will be an integral part of the role.</p>
<ul>
<li>You should be capable of carrying out detailed investigations and interviews, often in partnership with the Police or Environment Agency, to tackle fly tipping and other environmental crime offences.</li>
<li>You will be required to prepare case files and attend Court to give evidence.</li>
<li>The interviewing of alleged offenders, statement taking, case file preparation/case building along with intelligence gathering, and dissemination, court attendance and giving evidence are key elements of this position.</li>
<li>You will be involved in promoting public awareness of environmental crime issues as well as other duties that may include dealing with unauthorised encampments, fly grazing, public space protection orders and offences associated with Civil Enforcement.</li>
<li>You should be conversant with relevant legislation and guidance such as the Environmental Protection Act 1990, Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984, the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 and the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.</li>
<li>You will be required to operate both on foot and in a vehicle, performing duties such as visiting sites of fly tipping and fly posting etc. to obtain and record evidence.</li>
<li>You will be required to take the appropriate enforcement actions, such as serving of a summons to court or issuing Fixed Penalty Notices for environmental crime offences.</li>
</ul>
<p>Some evening, weekend and Bank Holiday working may be required for which a 10% allowance is paid. You should have a full, clean driving licence as you may, on occasions, be required to use your own vehicle, for which an allowance will be paid.</p>
