Senior Social Work Practitioner (Family Link)

We are seeking an Innovation Centre Manager to play a key role in managing Medway Innovation Centre and Medway Innovation Studios supporting businesses and the economy of Medway. You will be required to manage all aspects of the Innovation Centre Medway (ICM) and Innovation Studio Medway (ISM). This will include maximising sales, marketing, tenant contracts and management, budget management, monitoring, P&amp;L and invoicing, procurement, property and contractor management, data centre IT, team management, tenant management and operational running of the ICM café. You will liaise with stakeholders in a way that promotes the vision and values of the CouncilCareer Progression Frameworks (CPF) have been introduced for all roles at Medway Council. These frameworks provide a mechanism for employees to take ownership of their development within their post and be rewarded accordingly. Good communication skills are critical as the role will involve meetings and communications at all levels from officers within the Environment service to council members as well as negotiating with contractors and dealing with public enquiries to achieve positive outcomes in sometimes contentious and sensitive situations. Depending on your experience, in this post you will be required to assist with or lead on a number of major schemes and effectively manage a caseload of applications and appeals. &nbsp;From time to time you may also be required to sign off delegated recommendations. &nbsp;

You must be extremely well-organised, self-motivated and flexible. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, forward thinking and a good team player.

About the Role: 
The Senior Risk and Business Continuity Officer will be a key strategic role in ensuring the Council maintains a robust risk management and business continuity framework that safeguards operations, services, and public confidence and sits within a small but busy team under the Risk, Continuity &amp; Insurance Manager.
The role will involve the formulation of policy, decision-making on key risk management strategies, and ensuring business continuity planning is embedded at a corporate level.
About the candidate:
You will have a significant degree of autonomy and responsibility, lead the development and implementation of risk management and business continuity policies, and ensure compliance with legislation, corporate policies, and best practices.
Working closely with senior management and service leads, the post holder will drive organisational change, proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
You will also liaise with external partners, deliver training programs, and assist in the continuous improvement of risk management processes whist providing authoritative advice on risk, resilience, and business continuity, developing policies and governance frameworks that enhance the Council’s overall strategic risk management approach.
You will also lead on complex risk assessments and business impact analyses, making recommendations that influence corporate decision-making.

Who are we?
Mapesbury School is a new Special Educational Needs school opened in Spring 2025 in Cricklewood, Brent. Our small school supports children aged between 7 to 16 years with Autism and associated conditions who have not been able to access education in a mainstream or specialist setting and would benefit from an integrated therapeutic approach to education. Pupils will have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) but may not yet have a diagnosis, though they display traits of Autism and associated conditions.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team and help support children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
What you’ll be doing:
<ul>
<li>Provide a high quality standard of occupational therapy assessment, management, treatment and advice for a caseload of children aged 7 to 16 with a wide range of emotional, social and mental health difficulties</li>
<li>Plan, deliver and evaluate therapy treatment programmes as agreed in the child’s EHCP</li>
<li>Work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team and multi-agency teams involved with children and their families, contributing to team meetings, consultations, joint assessments, reviews and staff training.</li>

What we’re looking for:

<li>Dip COT, BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy together with HCPC and BAOT registration</li>
<li>previous experience of working in a special school setting or in a CAMHS service</li>

We are looking to recruit a full time Empty and Affordable Homes Officer to join our Planning Policy team. The successful candidate will provide support to the Affordable Housing Delivery Officer in monitoring affordable housing and bringing new delivery forward, as well as being the main point of contact for identifying and addressing empty homes, by supporting owners to bring them back in to use and even converting them into affordable housing where possible.
Ideally with knowledge and experience of dealing with empty homes and/or affordable housing, you will be a confident and effective communicator and use your skills to engage with empty homeowners, other departments within the Council and members of the public. With previous experience of delivering high performance standards, you will have a clear understanding of the relationship between corporate priorities and the delivery of a high-quality service to our customers.
