Are you passionate about supporting young minds and making a real difference in the classroom? We’re looking for two dedicated, experienced, energetic, and caring Higher Level Teaching Assistants to work in our Flexible Learning Programme.
What you’ll be doing:
<ul>
<li>Deliver planned offsite support sessions for pupils on the Flexible Learning Programme (e.g. home provision, community venues, alternative provision partners), in line with agreed timetables and risk assessments.</li><li>Provide a safe, secure and nurturing approach that supports pupils’ educational, health and social care needs, building confidence and capability over time.</li><li>Plan and deliver targeted learning and engagement activities, adapting delivery to individual readiness and need.</li><li>Use relational and trauma-informed approaches to reduce barriers, improve participation, and support positive behaviour and regulation.</li><li>Work closely with teachers/SENDCo and relevant teams to align offsite provision with curriculum pathways, EHCP outcomes and individual plans.</li><li>Maintain purposeful communication with families/carers to build consistency, strengthen routines and support attendance.</li><li>Contribute to multi-agency working: share updates appropriately, attend meetings, and support joined-up plans that improve outcomes.</li><li>Complete dynamic risk assessments and follow lone-working procedures, including check-in/check-out processes and escalation protocols</li></ul>
What we’re looking for:

<li>HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.</li><li>Previous experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar educational support role

Who are we?
Mapesbury School is a new Special Educational Needs school opening in Spring 2025 in Cricklewood, Brent. Our small school will support children aged between 7 to 16 years with Autism and associated conditions who have not been able to access education in a mainstream or specialist setting and would benefit from an integrated therapeutic approach to education. Pupils will have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) but may not yet have a diagnosis, though they display traits of Autism and associated conditions.
