Senior Information Rights Officer £45,750 - £49,056 per annum About Us London Borough of Newham is looking for a dynamic individual to join our Information Rights Team as a Senior Information Rights Officer on a permanent contract. The Information Rights Team work within the Information Assurance function that is part of the Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Service in LB Newham. About the Job This role involves processing all information rights requests therefore substantial knowledge of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (relating to information rights), the Data Protection Act 2018, the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 is essential. This role is expected to provide an efficient and effective service of parking enforcement in our borough car parks, in order to minimise Parking Contraventions through the issue of penalty charge notices in appropriate cases, in accordance with the Council’s objectives, policies and the Parking Order.
The candidate will hold the relevant qualification to carry out Civil Enforcement (Level 2 Award, City and Guilds), be conversant with Civil Enforcement legislation and procedures, and be polite and capable of representing a positive and helpful image for Spelthorne Borough Council to our residents and customers.

The Role:
As a contact centre advisor and part of the contact centre team reporting to one of the supervisors, you will be responsible for answering phone calls on a complete range of council services and digital interactions from residents.
You will be working in a highly pressurised and at times challenging environment; you will be our first point of contact for our residents and must be able to communicate in a clear and friendly manner.
