The Green Infrastructure and Climate Adaptation teams work closely together to deliver the Mayor’s ‘<a href="https://www.london.gov.uk/md3384-delivery-plan-delivering-greener-more-climate-resilient-london" target="_blank">Delivering a Greener and More Climate-Resilient London</a>’ mandate and delivery plan. The teams deliver against seven main projects/workstreams to enable Londoners to enjoy green and wild spaces across the capital, and for London to be resilient to extreme weather and the impacts of climate change.
We’re looking for a Project Support Officer to help support City Hall’s Green Infrastructure Team to deliver the key programmes set out in this delivery plan.
This is a unique opportunity to help achieve the Mayor’s ambition to make London a leader in green infrastructure and urban rewilding, ensure that London remains more than half green and to ensure more Londoners benefit from having green space near where they live.
<h2>About the role</h2>
Reporting to the Principal Programme Delivery Officer, you will support a varied portfolio of implementation and delivery programmes to enhance and add to London’s network of green infrastructure.
The Green Infrastructure Team’s portfolio includes work on Nature/Biodiversity/Rewilding, Trees &amp; Woodlands and Green Spaces &amp; Urban Greening, plus cross-cutting issues, such as data &amp; evidence, strategy &amp; planning, green finance and more. You will support cross-cutting programme management, as well as support individual projects and programmes across the team. Tasks will vary, but will include supporting the running of governance processes, supporting communications and engagement, providing administrative and business support for the Head of Green Infrastructure and across the team, coordinating the team’s input into corporate and Mayoral procedures, maintaining oversight for deadlines and information requests and ensure the team responds in a timely fashion and supporting procurement and contract management.
To succeed in the role, you’ll need to be collaborative, flexible and willing to learn across a wide portfolio. You’ll need to have strong abilities in project or programme support and coordination. While policy or technical expertise in a green infrastructure topic area would be helpful, it is not necessary for someone who can learn quickly. You must be comfortable in working across the team with different working styles, translating senior leader requests into action, coordinating and influencing people more senior to you to complete tasks in a timely manner, and dealing with iterative change.
What your day will look like

The Mayor’s Infrastructure Coordination Service (ICS) is an innovative, award-winning, multi-disciplinary team that partners with industry to improve infrastructure planning and delivery across the capital. With its fast-paced approach and focus on piloting new ways of working on-the-ground, the ICS uses the Mayor’s convening power to develop best practice and create longstanding change throughout the sector.
<h2>About the role</h2>
The ICS is looking for to appoint a Senior Technical Officer to deliver projects and programmes that respond to the Mayor’s priorities for water supply, wastewater and flood risk, including recommendations outlined in the London Climate Resilience Review.
The role is focused on convening partners to deliver long term infrastructure plans for the water sector, including integrated water management strategies and progressing wider climate resilience and growth priorities, working with stakeholders such as Environment Agency, Thames Water and London boroughs. In addition, the role will support policy development for the London Plan and contribute towards the London Infrastructure Framework, which are both in development currently.
The ideal candidate will have expertise or experience in the utilities sector, engineering, infrastructure policy and/or land use planning, and be motivated to work with stakeholders to deliver outcomes for London. In addition, the ideal candidate will have a problem-solving mindset and enjoy applying analytical and creative thinking skills to address blockers and challenge the status quo.&nbsp; A big part of the role is focused on translating technical outputs for non-technical audiences.
<h2>What your day will look like</h2>

<li>Collaborating with stakeholders on important policy issues related to London’s climate resilience ambitions and future water infrastructure investment</li>
<li>Project managing technical studies for projects such as integrated water management strategies at the London, catchment and local scale; and specific thematic projects such as water efficiency and upscaling SuDS delivery</li>
<li>Supporting the development of new digital and data tools, such as a new digital platform for water management; identifying and developing new use cases to inform the design of such tools</li>
<li>Collecting datasets and undertaking analysis to inform grant funding programmes and identifying needs for future projects</li>
</ul>
<h2>Skills, knowledge and experience</h2>
To be considered for the role you must meet the following essential criteria:

<li>A track record of managing complex projects/processes and project resources successfully, delivering results on target and within budget, and refining processes over time.</li>

The Mayor of London is seeking independent built environment experts to join the Mayor’s Design Advocates (MDAs) cohort. Good Growth is the Mayor’s guiding principle for the built environment and sets the direction of the London Plan and all related Mayoral decisions, investments, strategies and policies. About the role
This is a pivotal role within individual giving, helping to plan and develop fundraising strategy, budget management, as well as being responsible for delivering campaigns of significant scale and generating income both now and for the future.
As part of the team generating £15 million per annum, the successful candidate will be responsible for acquisition and retention communications that talk to thousands of individuals, building relationships with supporters across a wide range of marketing channels (including face-to-face, DRTV, direct mail, digital) and different activities, and driving vital income to support the charity’s research and care objectives.
With a large range of activity coming up, individual giving income growing strongly, and investment secured for the future, this is an exciting time to join and contribute to a passionate, experienced and effective team.
About you
You’ll have significant experience of running direct marketing activity to generate income, working with and developing strong relationships with suppliers, and at scale to solicit funds from tens of thousands of supporters.
A well organised person with excellent communication skills, you’ll be managing key external agencies and in-house stakeholders to deliver complex, multi-faceted campaigns. You’ll have a real focus on monitoring key campaign metrics to both optimise existing campaigns but also input into ongoing and future fundraising strategy. You’ll be confident in monitoring and managing significant expenditure budgets, as well as be keen to develop the skills to manage channel budgets and reforecasting.
Working across a range of channels that may include face-to-face, DRTV, email, online, telemarketing and direct mail, you’ll understand supporter motivations, and how to increase supporter engagement and retention; testing and evolving our campaigns to best fit what works for our supporters and ensuring that the Breast Cancer Now brand ethos is at the heart of all communications.

About the role This is a pivotal role within individual giving, supporting the delivery of our fundraising strategy, budget management, as well as being responsible for delivering campaigns to generate income both now and for the future.
As part of the team generating £15 million per annum, the successful candidate will be responsible for acquisition and retention communications that talk to thousands of individuals, building relationships with supporters across a wide range of marketing channels (including face-to-face, DRTV, direct mail, digital) and different activities, and driving vital income to support the charity’s research and care objectives.
With a large range of activity coming up, individual giving income growing strongly, and investment secured for the future, this is an exciting time to join and contribute to a passionate, experienced and effective team.
About you You’ll either already have some experience of working in a marketing/fundraising environment, or demonstrate a strong desire and attitude to learn quickly about running direct marketing campaigns, working closely with suppliers, to generate income and develop lasting engagement with tens of thousands of supporters.
A well organised person with excellent communication skills, you’ll be managing relationships with key external agencies and in house stakeholders to deliver complex, multi-faceted campaigns while closely monitoring and ensuring they are delivered to budget. You’ll have a real focus on monitoring key campaign metrics to optimise performance.
Working across a range of channels that can include email, online, telemarketing, direct mail, door to door and private site, you’ll understand supporter motivations, and how to increase supporter engagement, testing and evolving our campaigns to best fit what works for our supporters and ensuring that the Breast Cancer Now brand ethos is at the heart of all communications.

Direct Marketing Executive, Direct Debits and Cash

As the Senior Social Worker, you will be required to contribute to the delivery of a highly effective Adult Social Care service in an efficient manner. You will ensure the service is delivered using a strengths based, personalised approach and lead on agreed areas of quality assurance and audit activity – ensuring that multiple and complex sources of information (e.g. complaints, safeguarding adult reviews, audits etc.) are gathered, analysed, and used to direct quality improvement activity. The Green Infrastructure and Climate Adaptation teams work closely together to deliver the Mayor’s ‘<a href="https://www.london.gov.uk/md3384-delivery-plan-delivering-greener-more-climate-resilient-london" target="_blank">Delivering a Greener and More Climate-Resilient London</a>’ mandate and delivery plan. The teams deliver against seven main projects/workstreams to enable Londoners to enjoy green and wild spaces across the capital, and for London to be resilient to extreme weather and the impacts of climate change.
We’re looking for a Principal Programme Delivery Officer to help lead City Hall’s Green Infrastructure Team to deliver the key programmes set out in this delivery plan.
This is a unique opportunity to help achieve the Mayor’s ambition to make London a leader in green infrastructure and urban rewilding, ensure that London remains more than half green and to ensure more Londoners benefit from having green space near where they live.
<h2>About the role</h2>
Reporting to the Head of Green Infrastructure, you will manage a team of 2-3 and steer a varied portfolio of implementation and delivery programmes to enhance and add to London’s network of green infrastructure. The role will include concept and detailed design of key programmes and projects; managing finance, governance, and cross-team communication and evaluation; supporting the Head of Green Infrastructure and other GI managers to set up and manage budgets and resourcing plans and broadly support the programme coordination of the team.&nbsp;
The Green Infrastructure Team’s portfolio includes work on Nature/Biodiversity/Rewilding, Trees &amp; Woodlands and Green Spaces &amp; Urban Greening, plus cross-cutting issues, such as data &amp; evidence, strategy &amp; planning, green finance and more. You will work alongside managers who lead the three thematic portfolios and act as project directors and policy leads. Your team will lead on a key cross-cutting manifesto commitment programme—the Green Roots Programme—ensuring it is well-integrated across the team and delivering to time and budget alongside other teams.
To succeed in the role, you’ll need to be a collaborative and confident programme manager. You’ll need to have strong abilities in project or programme design and delivery. While policy or technical expertise in a green infrastructure topic area would be helpful, it is not necessary for someone who can learn quickly. You must be comfortable in working with ambiguity with minimal instruction, translating senior leader requests into action, communicating complex issues and programmes clearly, sensitively handling issues in a fast-paced and political environment, and dealing with iterative change.
The Mayor’s ‘<a href="https://www.london.gov.uk/md3384-delivery-plan-delivering-greener-more-climate-resilient-london" target="_blank">Delivering a Greener and More Climate-Resilient London</a>’ delivery plan is new and means a majority of the Green Infrastructure team’s work is new, innovative and in the process of design and early implementation. You will need to be able to manage varied and fast-paced work, have good programme management skills and be effective at communicating with and influencing a range of mainly internal stakeholders, preferably with some experience of doing this in a political environment. You’ll need to be flexible, adaptable, and have a collaborative approach, as this role requires working across many initiatives and policy areas simultaneously.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across the Environment Unit and the wider GLA to make sure that green infrastructure policies and programmes are integrated with other strategies, plans and programmes, and to support wider policy development and delivery. This will include working closely with the Climate Adaptation, Economic Development, Planning, Regeneration, Infrastructure, Communities, Health, Skills and other GLA teams, as well as TfL and other GLA Functional Bodies. Your team will also work closely with the Mayor’s Office and key external stakeholders and partners across London, including boroughs, government bodies, NGOs and community groups, to communicate the work of the Green Infrastructure team and to promote our programmes in an inclusive way.
<h2>What your day will look like</h2>
<ul>
<li>Working with the Head of Green Infrastructure and other GI managers to support requests from the Deputy Mayor of London for Environment and Energy and the Senior Adviser, such as briefings, communications lines, project updates and other cross-team activities.</li>
<li>Supporting the Head of Green Infrastructure to maintain oversight of the GI portfolio of programmes through governance, finance management, and portfolio management.</li>
<li>Directing and supporting the wider team on procurement, stakeholder management, communications, finance and other issues.</li>
<li>Collaborating with colleagues across key departments, including the Environment Unit Programme Coordination &amp; Management team, the Good Growth Directorate Community of Practice for Programme Management, Procurement, Governance, Finance, Communications and Marketing teams, Digital Experience Unit, Economic Development Programmes Unit and the Mayor’s Office.</li>
<li>With your team, develop and maintain repositories for key lines, briefings, project databases, stakeholder engagement and other record.</li>

The Green Infrastructure and Climate Adaptation teams work closely together to deliver the Mayor’s ‘<a href="https://www.london.gov.uk/md3384-delivery-plan-delivering-greener-more-climate-resilient-london" target="_blank">Delivering a Greener and More Climate-Resilient London</a>’ mandate and delivery plan. The teams deliver against seven main projects/workstreams to enable Londoners to enjoy green and wild spaces across the capital, and for London to be resilient to extreme weather and the impacts of climate change.
We’re looking for a Project Manager for our new Green Roots Programme. This is a unique opportunity to help achieve the Mayor’s ambition to make London a leader in green infrastructure and urban rewilding, ensure that London remains more than half green and to ensure more Londoners benefit from having green space near where they live.
<h2>About the role</h2>
Reporting to the Principal Programme Delivery Officer, you will project manage the Mayor’s new Green Roots Programme, one of the key delivery programmes of the Mayor’s manifesto commitments and the team’s work programme to enhance and add to London’s network of green infrastructure.
You will be responsible for a £12m grant investment and parallel work programmes to ensure that the grant reaches underrepresented groups and communities. You will direct the grant fund, developing and implementing innovative and robust guidance, processes, systems and structures to ensure strong programme delivery.
You will work closely with colleagues across the Environment Unit and the wider GLA to successfully deliver the grant programme, coordinating the input of the Green Infrastructure, Climate Adaptation, Regeneration, Communities, Health, and other GLA teams to drive programme impact, as well as overseeing and supporting the work of the Economic Development Programmes Unit team that administers the grant, and the Digital Experience Unit and Grants Strategy teams as part of an organisation-wide pilot. You will work to ensure that the grant fund and wider programme deliver their desired outcomes, coordinate governance, procurement, finance activities and identify opportunities to enhance and grow the fund. You will also work closely with key external stakeholders and partners across London, including boroughs, government bodies, NGOs and community groups, to communicate the Green Roots Programme and to promote our work in an inclusive way.
The Green Infrastructure Team’s portfolio includes work on Nature/Biodiversity/Rewilding, Trees &amp; Woodlands and Green Spaces &amp; Urban Greening, plus cross-cutting issues, such as data &amp; evidence, strategy &amp; planning, green finance and more. You will work in a matrix way across the three thematic portfolios to align policies and outcomes.
To succeed in the role, you’ll need to be a collaborative and confident project manager. You’ll need to have strong abilities in project or programme design and delivery, with experience in grant management strongly desirable. While policy or technical expertise in a green infrastructure topic area would be helpful, it is not necessary for someone who can learn quickly. You must be comfortable in working with ambiguity with minimal instruction, translating senior leader requests into action, communicating complex issues and programmes clearly, managing relationships in pressured situations and dealing with iterative change.
The Mayor’s ‘<a href="https://www.london.gov.uk/md3384-delivery-plan-delivering-greener-more-climate-resilient-london" target="_blank">Delivering a Greener and More Climate-Resilient London</a>’ delivery plan is new. The Green Roots Programme is a key project of this delivery plan, but it, along with most of the Green Infrastructure team’s work is new, innovative and in the process of design and early implementation. You will need to be able to manage varied and fast-paced work, have good project management skills and be effective at communicating with and influencing a range of stakeholders, preferably with some experience of doing this in a political environment. You’ll need to be flexible, adaptable, and have a collaborative approach, as this role requires working across many teams as well as piloting new activities in the organisation.
What your day will look like

<li>Providing direction, oversight and support to other team members and teams to ensure everyone is working toward the grant and policy priorities.</li>
<li>Overseeing the continued development of software systems and other products and processes to ensure the grant is administered in a way that delivers policy priorities.</li>
<li>Managing governance processes across multiple teams and upwards to track project spend and timelines, report progress, raise and mitigate risk and issues and facilitate programme decisions.</li>
<li>Designing, operationalising and implementing non-grant aspects of the Green Roots programme to deliver against programme and policy priorities.</li>
<li>Embedding EDI into programme design, communications, engagement and the implementation of the programme.</li>
<li>Providing internal and external communications about the programme through briefings, presentations, social media and more.</li>
<li>Managing relationships and contracts with suppliers and internal SLAs to ensure high quality delivery.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Skills, knowledge and experience</h2>
To be considered for the role you must meet the following essential criteria:
<ul>
<li>A track record, and evidence of success, of managing a relevant programme or project and delivering results on target and within budget. Experience of utilising appropriate and effective project management skills, methods and tools.</li>
<li>Good knowledge and experience of developing, designing and delivering green infrastructure or environment projects and programmes, this could include working on grant funded programmes as either a funder or grant recipient. A good understanding of London’s funding landscape for green infrastructure or environment.</li>
<li>Experience with and commitment to equality and diversity in an applied context. (Specific experience of this in environment or green infrastructure desired, but not essential)&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Behavioural competency: Decision Making Level 2. Experience with balancing the need to take decisions as necessary with the understanding of when to escalate decisions, issues and risks to more senior decision makers.</li>
