Job Title:&nbsp;Payroll and Pensions Administrator&nbsp;
Location:&nbsp;Islington, London, (Around a 10 minute walk from Highbury and Islington station) Hybrid working with 2 days a week in the office and service visits regularly across London, Brighton, Luton, Bedford, Kent, and Liverpool. About the role
Our People and Culture team are hiring a Payroll and Pensions Administrator to join the team to support with ensuring our staff are paid efficiently, accurately, and on time. You will play a pivotal part of the team to support with the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for all, coordinating effective and efficient end-to-end payroll and pensions administration, plus any additional relevant activities. You will utilise the tools and resources available to ensure we meet the needs of all our stakeholders and comply with legal matters. The role will further include:

<li>Taking ownership of administrative tasks in the payroll and pensions process, being the point of contact for enquiries in this area.</li>
<li>Supporting the administrative process of payroll and pensions, including with the database/system, ensure that any problems are identified with the relevant departments for effective resolution.</li>
<li>Ensure Full Payment Submissions (FPS) within tight deadlines and process for all adaptations are carried out in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Support relevant colleagues to ensure the correct payments, reports, and returns are made to HMRC, pension providers, and other bodies.</li>
<li>Work in collaboration with functions within the organisation to ensure consistency of information and process.</li>
<li>Ensure all data and reporting is updated in a timely manner across the relevant databases on a regular basis and fit the needs of the business.</li>
</ul>
In this role, you will report to the Payroll and Pensions Manager, working alongside the wider People and Culture team which includes the Generalist team, Talent Acquisition team, Workforce Development, and Talent Development team. As a team, we all have our strengths and individual qualities and interests, we support each other wherever possible and have a collaborative working culture. Once a month, we meet as a team and come together for a fun activity and collaborative working.
About you
We are looking for someone who is methodical and intuitive, with a detail oriented outlook to tasks, with the ability to take ownership of projects and workflows, using your skills, knowledge and materials to provide an excellent service. <li>Experience in a similar role, taking on similar responsibilities in payroll capacity</li>
<li>Experience in providing a high level of quality administration and customer support (internal or external customers)</li>
<li>Knowledge and experience using a payroll systems is desirable</li>
<li>Good understanding of HMRC requirements, including Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), statutory maternity and paternity pay</li>
<li>Experience of providing a high level of numerical administration and communications, commensurate to the level of the role</li>
<li>IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, competent knowledge in Microsoft, including Word, Excel, and Outlook</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to attend regular visits to our different service locations</li>
<li>Working knowledge and understanding of payroll, pensions and other relevant laws and external policies commensurate to the level of the role.</li>

Wokingham Borough Council has some opportunities for passionate and enthusiastic Organisation Development Officers to join us on a permanent or fixed term basis.
We are a highly ambitious Council and are about to embark on a significant period of transformation in Organistional Development.&nbsp; These roles will support the development and implementation of the corporate learning framework and training offer.&nbsp; Co-designing and delivering training programmes across the Council will be integral to these roles along with ensuring that we provide high quality training for all.
The role will support in the delivery of our People Strategy to include tools, and interventions to help the council achieve its strategic ambitions which will include programmes such as culture, performance management, leadership and development.
Experience of working within a local government setting would be highly advantageous as would being an accredited Insights Practitioner.

Key responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Supports the development and implementation of the Councils Corporate learning framework and training offer.</li>
<li>Co-create training packages and be responsible for the delivery of training, predominantly face to face, to support the Organisational Development programme that will embed a learning culture across the Council.</li>
<li>Work in partnership with Managers and teams across the Council to ensure that learning sessions are coherent, accessible and in-line with industry standards and the evolving needs of staff.</li>
<li>Design and use tools to evaluate the impact of learning and organisational development initiatives and conduct regular monitoring, reviewing and evaluation of the programme as per agreed objectives.</li>
<li>Acts as the councils Subject Matter Expert in developing content and supporting the use of learning management systems, platforms and other tools for hosting learning content</li>
</ul>
&nbsp;Candidate Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Degree-level, equivalent relevant professional qualifications, or expertise</li>
<li>Good IT skills including office software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel</li>
<li>Demonstrable experience of delivering training face to face with some hybrid training options</li>
<li>Experience of learning management systems, e-learning and system maintenance</li>
