An exciting opportunity has arisen to deliver a Job Coach role as part of the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF) for Rutland’s Connect to Work programme. &nbsp;
The role will help disabled individuals, people with long-term health conditions, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds who face multiple and complex barriers to employment. The programme supports participants in both entering and sustaining meaningful work.

About the role… The Job Coach – Connect to Work will undertake the following:
• &nbsp; &nbsp;Manage a caseload of clients, ensuring eligibility, suitability, and tailored support needs are assessed. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Deliver the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF) model to maintain high service standards. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Provide job search support, sourcing both advertised and hidden opportunities through employer engagement. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Maintain accurate case notes, action plans, and programme documentation within required timeframes. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Supply requested data and documentation to DWP and provide regular updates to the Programme Manager. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Collaborate with Connect to Work partners, Leicester City Council, and wider stakeholders across the region.

Harborough District Council is looking for a highly motivated individual, to work within Regulatory Services as an Environmental Health Officer. In this role you will be working within the Environment Team that is responsible for enforcing Pollution Control and Private Sector Housing and the Housing Team that is responsible for dealing with homelessness and landlord/tenant issues.
The main focus of this post is to work on the implementation of the new Housing legislation due to be brought in under the Renter’s Rights Bill. You will be expected to take the lead on both the implementation of and the enforcement of the new legislation. You will be experienced in local authority governance to facilitate the introduction of the new legislation including a landlord’s database and civil penalties policy. You will also be trained in PACE and the enforcement of housing legislation including civil penalties. You will be expected to undertake inspections and investigations of private sector housing under the Housing Act 2004 using HHSRS, enforce HMO’s and be able to deal with landlord/tenant issues.
You will have experience of communicating confidently with a range of people in a customer facing role and will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills. You will be able to work under your own initiative and will be able to identify innovative solutions to challenges. You will have skills in MS Office and a desire to gain technical knowledge. You will be appropriately qualified with a Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health (or equivalent qualification) and registered with the Environmental Health Officer’s Registration Board (or equivalent). Ideally you will have recent enforcement experience in the fields appropriate to the post. Additional qualifications in the relevant areas of private sector housing would be an advantage. Training opportunities will be provided.
Occasional work outside office hours may be required.&nbsp; You will need a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle. Clearance by the Disclosure and Barring Service is required for this post as well as Police Vetting.

Harborough District Council is looking for a highly motivated individual, to work within Regulatory Services as an Empty Property Officer. In this role you will be working within the Environment Team that is responsible for enforcing Pollution Control and Private Sector Housing.
The post holder is primarily responsible for the investigation of empty and other problematic properties; assisting with bringing empty homes back into use; identifying support and/or enforcement actions available; and taking appropriate enforcement action when necessary.to bring empty properties back into use, in accordance with the Council’s Empty Property Strategy.
The post holder will also be responsible for supporting the Environment Team through the implementation of private sector housing legislation and for improving standards in private sector housing.
The post holder must be knowledgeable of legislation, policy, guidance, codes of practice, standards etc. relating to empty properties and other private sector housing areas of work, keeping appraised of technical/specific knowledge and developments necessary for fulfilling the duties of the post and providing specialist advice within the council as required to deliver empty property work across the district.
You will have experience of communicating confidently with a range of people in a customer facing role and will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills. You will be able to work under your own initiative and will be able to identify innovative solutions to challenges. You will have skills in MS Office and a desire to gain technical knowledge.
