About the role
The Industry Skills Reviewer will manage a caseload of apprentices by monitoring attendance, progression, achievement and completion, organising pastoral support as required and by working with all parties involved to resolve any issues that may affect successful completion of the programmes. The Industry Skills Reviewers will ensure that all apprentices within caseload have a review at least every 12 weeks (preferably 10 weeks), ensuring that both the apprentice and employer are present at each review. The Industry Skills reviewer will ensure that all apprentices have their next review booked and in the diary with both apprentice and employer and that it is recorded on the College system. The successful applicant will ensure that the reviews cover all the required points as per our induction and assessor process documentation – namely SMART targets, review of off the job logs (OTJ), wrap around support and distance travelled against apprenticeship training plan.
The Industry Skills Reviewer will;

The Environment and Energy unit is responsible for the policies and programmes related to the Mayor’s ambitions around the natural environment, climate adaptation and his net zero 2030 target.&nbsp;
The Programme Management Coordination team is a cross-cutting team at the heart of the Unit, providing leadership on governance, finance, business coordination, communications, stakeholder engagement, and monitoring and evaluation activities for the Unit. Working closely with the Principal Evaluation Officer and Head of Programme Management Coordination, you will establish a hub of programme and project management expertise for the Unit, providing guidance and implementation support to delivery teams, aligned with GLA’s Portfolio Management Framework.
<h2>About the role</h2>
This role will play a central part in embedding strong programme and project management practices across the Environment and Energy Unit. You will be responsible for supporting the Unit to implement the GLA’s Portfolio Management Framework across the project lifecycle, from initiation through to delivery and closure. You will coordinate programme-level activities such as quarterly reporting, risk register management, and lessons learned reviews, and will work closely with delivery leads to embed standardised, governance and management processes.

Key Responsibilities

About You
We’re looking for team players with a proactive approach, strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. Confident working outdoors, capable of handling manual tasks, and taking pride in keeping the estate in top condition.
Essential:

<li>Excellent verbal communication and basic written skills</li>

<li>Physically able to manage lifting, bending, and outdoor work</li>

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Business Support Officer to provide high quality business support to the department.
You will be responsible for developing, producing, embedding and maintaining various plans and reports for Adult Social Care such as the Business Continuity Plan, Local account and more by ensuring they are reviewed periodically through the year and when changes in business demand or events necessitate them.
- Review the departments internet and intranet pages, and coordinate timely updates of the content.
- Support the FOI &amp; Complaints Manager to process and coordinate the management of Subject Access Requests, Freedom Of Information requests, Complaints, Members and Mayoral Enquiries by ensuring they are correctly logged onto local and corporate databases, risk assessed and prioritised, allocated to services, processed effectively and efficiently in line with the agreed corporate and Directorate response standards and business targets and monitored until concluded.
- Line management of the Business Support Officer and Service Coordinator, including carrying out formal check in supervisions in line with corporate guidance.
- Lead and coordinate all data and information governance work for the Adult Services Directorate, including developing, maintaining and promoting the policies, standards, working practices and guidance for the Directorate relating to information governance.
