Good Growth is responsible for delivering and implementing the Mayor’s environment, transport and economic strategies and for the effective implementation of the London Plan. The GLA Transport Team is seeking an outstanding candidate to fill a vacancy left by an internal secondment. This is a part-time role of 18.5hrs and we are open to discussing how these hours are managed through the week for the suitable candidate and to meet the needs of the need. &nbsp;
Working in a busy team, you will act as a first point of contact for enquiries to the team, both internally and externally, including from senior officers and politicians, and respond promptly to requests. You must be able to cope with high volumes of emails, keep track of a large number of tasks and most importantly be able to assess and prioritise work confidently and quickly.&nbsp; You will be relied on to manage processes on behalf of the team and therefore will have outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail.&nbsp; You will have experience in a fast paced office environment and thrive under pressure. If you’ve got experience in a political environment this would be an advantage, as you will work on sensitive matters on a daily basis.
The successful candidate will join a small team already operating on a job share basis. As such you need to have excellent communication skills and be able to use and improve monitoring processes to ensure you can all keep track of tasks.&nbsp;

This role forms part of our Estate Services structure and is a key function of our continuing commitment to providing a responsive customer-based service for our residents. You will be involved in maintaining communal areas within our blocks and on our estates, carrying out communal cleaning, grounds maintenance work, carrying out small maintenance repairs as well as and having due regard to health &amp; safety and security issues.
You must be capable of carrying out a variety of Caretaking tasks – H&amp;S checks, cleaning, rota management, and small repair.&nbsp; Trade skills, Gardening or DIY experience would be an advantage. Although the role is predominately lone working under your own initiative, you should also be able to work effectively as part of a team as some sites have more than one caretaker.
If you are willing to learn, have good decision making skills and can work under pressure, have ambition, enthusiasm, and care about delivering first class service to our residents we would like to hear from you.
You must be a good communicator and able to show IT skills – basic Word &amp; Excel are used frequently, alongside other digital technology.&nbsp;You will need to be willing to learn new skills as the service adapts to the changing needs within the Neighbourhoods. You will often be working alone and therefore need to be able to work on your own initiative and be self motivated to organise your own time effectively.&nbsp; You will need to be proactive in your daily activities and aware of safe working practices. Practical Health and Safety experience is essential.
It is an essential requirement that you have a good standard of literacy, and as stated, it would be very desirable if you have IT skills as you will be required to use a PC/tablet at times, to submit weekly reports, participate in Ms Teams meetings, undertake online courses and assessments.&nbsp; You must hold a full, clean driving licence for a&nbsp;manual&nbsp;transmission&nbsp;vehicle ( our Fleet is all manual) and essential you have access to secure overnight parking if issued a company vehicle.&nbsp; L&amp;Q does not provide residential permits.
The Relief Caretaking Team&nbsp;cover for our caretaker’s annual leave, extended sickness and vacancies and thus can be asked to work across all 4 of the &nbsp;L&amp;Q operational regions London wide. Whilst we are primarily looking for cover in the West areas of London, you will on occasion, be asked to cover in any of the neighbouring areas. As such, you will need excellent organizational skills/time management and enjoy working across a variety of sites.
The 35 Hour week begins when drivers arrive at site and ends when they leave. As with normal employment practice, staff are not paid to travel to work. Specific hours of working will be discussed at the interview.

Our Building Compliance team in Property Services is looking for an experienced Compliance Engagement Officer to join their established team. This is a great opportunity for an internal applicant to join the team on a secondment or acting up basis until October 2026.
The aim is to help provide an efficient, effective and responsive, housing enforcement service.&nbsp;The primary function of the role is to ensure access is obtained to all properties through the most appropriate method in accordance with ‘best practice’ and housing and health and safety legislation. To control and manage cases through dialogue; persuasion; negotiation; problem solving and encouragement.
The role will involve effectively conducting access to properties in the execution of access warrants or injunction.
Within the role, it is expected that the individual will visit properties where access has not been obtained by our contractor, for the purpose of completing the annual gas service or compliance survey and to make arrangements for completion of the outstanding inspection. It is anticipated that the role will require someone to be attending individual properties and potentially attending court for approximately 50% of the working week on average.
This position will be responsible for no access properties from the moment they are sent to use from the contractor, to the point of gaining access to complete the necessary checks. This will include, liaising with contractors, liaising with internal stakeholders and being the person responsible for arranging combined visits when required.&nbsp;
There will be an expectation within this role to assist in the production of publicity and information material including leaflets for customers.&nbsp; Contributing to the development of clear communication for the benefit of our customers and service.
To carry out personal observations, obtain photographic, audio, or video evidence, incorporate the same into report and witness statements, and to attend court in conjunction with same.
To be successful in this role we would expect someone to be conversant with all current and proposed relevant compliance legislation and best practice. To have experience within social housing or a regulatory environment with a good sense of customer service.
