About the Role
As a Data Protection Coordinator for Reigate &amp; Banstead Borough Council you will play a crucial role in supporting the Data Protection Officer (DPO) in ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, particularly GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and the Data Protection Act 2018. You will be responsible for assisting in the implementation and maintenance of data protection policies, managing data subject requests, conducting assessments, and supporting various compliance-related activities.&nbsp;
This role will work closely with the other Data Protection Coordinator as part of a job share. This role will be expected to work independently and have the confidence to use initiative and knowledge to carry out essential tasks. We want every visit to our clubs to be inclusive and motivating experience for our customers. Our Fitness Instructors are integral to delivering this and helping our customers to achieve their fitness goals. Additionally, our Fitness Instructors assist the Leisure Centre Management in the supervision, safety, maintenance of equipment and customer retention within the Fitness Suite. The successful candidates must have a CIMSPA accredited Gym Instructor Qualification of level 2 or above (previously REPS accredited).
Due to the nature of activities undertaken (i.e. regulated activity with children), this post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.&nbsp; Any provisional offer of employment made will be subject to receipt of a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Certificate, to include an annually renewed DBS Update Service subscription for the purposes of ongoing satisfactory status checks throughout employment, in accordance with Company Policies.
