Support Worker - Mably HouseWe currently have an opportunity for a full-time support worker (37.5 hours) to join our homeless supported living service, at Mably House, in Hatfield.Mably House provides supported housing for 35 residents. Mably house consists of 35 self-contained units, and each resident has their own self-contained flat with the support of staff from Monday to Friday. The aim is to provide personalised one to one support for a period of up to 24 months, with the goal of helping each resident move on successfully into independent accommodation.As a support worker, you will support worker, you will play a vital role in helping people live independently and with dignity. Key responsibilities:

<li>To work with customers and their carer’s using a strength-based approach to provide tailored advice information and signposting to help them remain as independent as possible and live safely in the community.</li>
<li>To identify and implement appropriate prevention plans that will avoid, reduce, or delay the need for formal long-term care.</li>
<li>To accept referrals for adult social care, complete assessments, create and implement support plans in line with legislation, statutory guidance, local policy and procedure and as necessary.</li>

An exciting opportunity of Shield Team Manager post has become available due to the previous manager being promoted.&nbsp;&nbsp; Shield is an established child exploitation and missing service with ten years of proven impact in reducing missing and exploitation risk.&nbsp;&nbsp; Shield intervention is based upon a trusted relationship approach, utilising various trauma informed models of practice.&nbsp; Due to the successful outcomes demonstrated the team is now expanding with exciting developments in relation to supporting parents, harmful sexual behaviours, transitional support for care experienced, and incorporating lived experience.&nbsp;
This role will also directly be responsible for the line management of range of staff from assistant team manager through to child exploitation workers.&nbsp; The role will also have oversight of our commissioned interventions within the team.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
This role will require you to work with colleagues from across the partnership to ensure our safeguarding intervention response to various forms of harm is delivered to a high standard.&nbsp; A key aspect of the role is working in partnership with the police and other agencies to identify and respond to threats and risks in the community. This includes supporting intelligence gathering, mapping activity, and attending multi-agency forums to ensure timely action and joined-up working.
Previous experience of working within specialist therapeutic services and working in multi-agency teams, managing projects or people, including partnerships and using data intelligently to improve the way things are done will be an advantage.

Knowsley Shared Lives Scheme, which is part of Knowsley Council, is currently recruiting Shared Lives Carers.&nbsp; Could you welcome a person with a care or support need in to your own home?&nbsp;
This may suit you if you are looking for a rewarding challenge with a payment of between £500 - £600 per week and you wish to work from home.&nbsp;
One of the services the scheme provides is long term support where someone would live with you as part of your family - you would need to live within the Knowsley Boundary to provide this type of support.&nbsp;
The scheme also provides respite, where someone would stay with you from one night up to 3 months and there is no requirement to live in Knowsley to provide this service.&nbsp; You will receive full training for your role and support from a team of Shared Lives Workers. The scheme will match you with someone who they feel you could support, who may have similar interest’s likes and preferences to yourself.&nbsp; Experience of providing care would be desired but it is not essential.&nbsp;&nbsp;
All applicants will undertake an assessment which will include character employer and GP references, a Disclosure and Barring Service Check and a health and safety check on your property. Your assessment will be approved by an independent panel.&nbsp;
