The Governors of St. Jerome’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil (Year 4) with Special Educational Needs. Chesnut Lodge Special School caters for pupils aged 2 – 16 years, with complex learning needs arising from physical, sensory and medical difficulties.&nbsp; The school is well resourced and enjoys a high profile within the local community.&nbsp;

We are looking for a teacher who is:-

While It is desirable that you have experience of working with children with complex learning needs it is only essential that you are proactive in making learning fun, engaging and relevant to the individual needs of the pupils in your care. You will be a team worker with a positive outlook and good listening skills with the ability to be both resolute and compassionate in nature.
We are committed to providing high quality Continuing Professional Development and will support you by providing appropriate training and support for the post. Although experience of PMLD &amp; SLD teaching would be advantageous it is only essential that the successful candidate be flexible, able to develop positive relationships with all stakeholders and possess the expertise to teach in all areas of the school as required.
The successful applicant will be required to complete appropriate training programmes, including those required to meet the physical, including intimate care, feeding, behavioural and medical needs of the students.
