As a Family Hub Support Officer, you'll be the friendly first point of contact for families accessing the Best Start Family Hub, providing excellent administrative support and helping people navigate the right services at the right time. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a role in giving children the best possible start in life while supporting Rutland County Council's commitment to improving outcomes for families across the community.

About you…

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working in a customer-facing environment
  • Excellent administrative and IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, email and internet applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships, identify customer needs, and respond with sensitivity, empathy and professionalism
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, multitask effectively and work independently to resolve issues
  • Experience of working collaboratively with a range of organisations and partners to deliver effective services.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes and use questioning and listening skills to identify and resolve problems

About the role…

The Family Hub Support Officer will provide high-quality administrative support and duties will include:

  • Accurate data collection, analysis and reporting to support service performance and statutory requirements.
  • Based at the Family Hub, the postholder will welcome and support families, providing advice, guidance and signposting to local services
  • monitor outcomes and contribute to the delivery of Living Well Rutland's objectives and excellent customer service.
  • build positive relationships, listen with empathy, and work closely with local partners to connect families with the support they need

Please note: the expectation for this role is office based at the Family Hub in Oakham.

The successful applicant for this post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The costs for the DBS are paid by us.
