Are you looking for a rewarding career in Adult Education, where you can make a real difference?

Do you want a job where you can support vulnerable adults to flourish?

About the Role

The Learning for Wellbeing team is made up of one Programme Manager and 2 LDDCs (Learning Development and Delivery Coordinators). We support 15 sessional tutors teaching a range of subjects including art, craft, dance, exercise and specialist subjects. They are all experts in their field. We are currently seeking a Drawing and Painting tutor to join us, who is passionate about their subject and will pass that on to learners. Applicants will have experience of working with/teaching adults from all walks of life who bring a wealth of knowledge and life experiences to the classroom. You will deliver high quality art courses from the GoLearn! classrooms situated at either Loughborough Library or Loughborough Moira Centre but be flexible in terms of working from other localities in the county, in accordance with Service needs. The role requires you to design and develop your courses, complete Schemes of Work, plan and deliver teaching/learning activities, carry out formative and summative assessment to a high standard and to complete related admin duties. 3 whole-Service, half-day CPD events are held during the academic year - attendance is mandatory. Art courses are very popular and we are looking for a tutor who can support learners to develop knowledge and skills but also support wellbeing in terms of mental health, social health and to help learners to progress by providing information and advice about other courses/organisations that might be able to help with this. Courses are organised to encourage progression for learners and include Introduction to, Beginners Next Steps, Intermediate and Independent levels as well as ‘for Wellbeing’ courses for learners with more complex needs.

An enhanced with barred list DBS check is required for this post.
