About the role
We're looking for an Occupational Therapist who has experience in Complex Mental Health and Substance Misuse to join our residential service based in Croydon. You will use your skills and knowledge to support residents with mental health challenges, complex needs, and will provide specialist occupational therapy as part of their recovery. This is a great opportunity to shape your own role, alongside a team of Positive Engagement Workers, a Dual Diagnosis Worker, and Clinical Psychologist, whilst working closely with the Group Psychological Lead and other external partnerships. You will receive regular supervisions and have time with an external Occupational Therapist.&nbsp;
You will:

About you
We’re looking for a passionate, driven and qualified Occupational Therapist, registered with the HCPC who has experience working with people that have multiple complex needs. You’ll be confident applying theory to the practical working environment. We use a trauma informed, non judgmental approach, so it’s important that you can work well with others, fit into the team, and build trusting relationships. You will be able to apply your knowledge of relevant guidance and protocols to the working environment. You will have a background in a similar role, able to provide specialist support to our residents who struggle with their mental health and substance use.

<li>Willingness to work in adherence to Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and Consultation Observation Tool (COT) and other practice guidelines.</li>

About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Mentor to join our team based in RBKC to support our residents who have multiple and complex needs which could include mental health, substance use, homelessness, and/or offending backgrounds. You will support in providing our residents with the support needed to help them overcome their personal barriers, and achieve their goals in a person centred approach. You will work within a residential setting, creating a safe and comfortable space which our residents can call their homes during their time within the service. The role includes:

Tackling fly tipping is a key priority for the Council and following recent changes &nbsp;the Environmental Enforcement Team are seeking three additional officers to join the expanding team. We are looking for forward thinking officers, who are able to problem solve, confident in speaking to people and able to carry out investigations.
Duties include investigating environmental crime such as fly-tipping and&nbsp; duty of care offences in residential and commercial settings.
The post holder will be responsible for gathering evidence, interviewing people, responding to customer concerns and working with other Council Services,&nbsp; partner agencies and neighbouring authorities as part of the role. They will take &nbsp;appropriate action in order to achieve the desired outcome including issuing statutory and fixed penalty notices and undertaking prosecutions.
The successful applicants will have a background knowledge of Environmental Legislation; be able to carry out an investigation, effectively communicate with members of the public and manage potentially confrontational situations.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join as a Road &amp; Street Works Operative within Highways Maintenance at St Helens, to help us drive forward and support the delivery of the Council’s ambitious strategy. We want you to be part of our new team that is tasked with making us a leading highway authority, efficiently managing, maintaining, and improving our network and supporting economic growth.
With a Capital programme exceeding £30m and some of the region’s biggest transport schemes underway, including the regeneration of the Town Centre and Earlestown, the highways service has never had a more integral role to play. To ensure these programmes of work are successfully delivered we are looking to bolster our Highway maintenance Team.
We are looking to recruit a Road &amp; Street Works Operative who will be required to assist the Highways Maintenance Team with all aspects relating to the management, improvement, and maintenance of the Highway.
They should be experienced in highways maintenance and possess the relevant skills to undertake a wide range of reactive maintenance activities such as tarmac, flagging, kerbing, and drainage repairs as well as other associated highway works i.e., installation of street furniture, ironwork, ancillary item.
Candidates must have a knowledge of Chapter 8 signing, lighting, and guarding regulations. NRSWA qualification would be desirable.
A current driving licence is essential. LGV (Category C) licence would be desirable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily management of our science laboratories and commercial greenhouse The Thanet Earth Centre of Excellence, ensuring compliance with all Health &amp; Safety protocols. You will provide vital technical support and contribute to the practical delivery of science content across our land-based curriculum areas, which include Agriculture, Animal Management, Equine, Fisheries, Horticulture, and Floristry.
The Thanet Earth Centre of Excellence is the Uks only centre of excellence for greenhouse growing and is supported and sponsored by Thanet Earth and other key organisations in the fresh produce sector. As a result the successful candidate will be working in a unique and innovative setting.
This role also includes supervising a range of innovative student and staff-led projects, offering a unique chance to engage with hands-on learning and research initiatives.
A key element of the role involves managing operations in our state-of-the-art Venlo greenhouse – The Thanet Earth Centre of Excellence, where you will act as the primary grower for our hydroponic crops. In collaboration with colleagues at Hadlow College and our industry partner, Thanet Earth, you will be responsible for:

Social Worker / Senior Social Worker– Children with Disabilities Team
Our Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team is looking for a Full-Time Social Worker/ Senior Social Worker to join them, who either has experience in a CWD Team or brings excellent skills from a Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP) or Child in Care (CIC) background and is keen to extend their knowledge in the disabilities arena.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing quality services to children with disabilities and their families, delivered within a signs of safety practice framework, to support life skills development, increase independence, promote family resilience and keep children safe from harm.
Many of the key aspects of this role, will draw on your previous experience working with families using a strength-based approach. We will provide the training and support you will need to become a confident CWD Social Worker.
The Social Worker role: You will be responsible for a caseload of children with disabilities spanning the range of statutory provisions, including CIN, children subject to CP Plans, CIC and those where Care Proceedings have been initiated. You will work with these children and their families to undertake holistic social work assessments, with a view to identifying risk and need; and work with multi-agency networks to develop and review plans that address and mitigate concerns in a timely manner.
The ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders and communicate effectively in a verbal and written format are key to performing this role, alongside a secure safeguarding understanding.
About the Team: The CWD Team sits within our wider Children with Disabilities Service, which includes a range of resources tailored for families in the Wokingham Borough. The CWD Team is made up of 4 Social Workers and 3 Occupational Therapists. The team is headed up by a Team Manager who has been with Wokingham Borough Council for two and a half years and an experienced Assistant Team Manager. The team works in a hybrid manner, working from the office in Woodley, twice a week, with a pre-arranged duty day in the office which rotates at least once weekly between team members and a team office day on a Thursday. Given the complexity of working with Children with Disabilities, workloads are carefully managed to ensure the ability to deliver a focused and meaningful service.

Merefield School is an all age, 3-19&nbsp; special school in Ainsdale.&nbsp; We cater for up to 110 students with severe and complex learning needs.&nbsp; We have carefully and meticulously created a curriculum that stimulates and challenges each of our students based on their individual needs and starting points.&nbsp; Our personalised approach and tailored assessment systems ensure that all students make outstanding progress during their time at Merefield School.
The Governors seek to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and highly experienced Teaching Assistant to become part of our successful and hard-working team.
Teaching assistants are employed to work across the whole school and provide support for pupils with a range of learning needs and disabilities.&nbsp; Merefield School has high expectations for all pupils and all staff are required to support every child to be the very best they can be.&nbsp; Applicants should be appropriately qualified and have relevant skills and experience in working with children with severe and complex learning disabilities.
Merefield School is in the process of converting to an academy and will join the Southport Learning Trust.&nbsp; Staff employed by the school prior to this will then be employed by Southport Learning trust.&nbsp; This is planned to take place on 1st October 2025.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Due to the nature of work the above post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Disclosure &amp; Barring Service (DBS).
