ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an ambitious CCAB or CIMA part qualified professional to join our Finance Business Partner Team. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner (Support Services), the main responsibilities of the post holder will be to:
• &nbsp; &nbsp;Provide professional and expert accounting and technical service to a range of services including the Council’s Support Services, more specifically Corporate Services, ICT and Business Change &amp; Digital; • &nbsp; &nbsp;Provide support to the Finance Business Partner (Support Services); • &nbsp; &nbsp;Contribute to budget setting and the production of the annual budget book; • &nbsp; &nbsp;Provide budget monitoring information to managers; • &nbsp; &nbsp;Contribute to the closure of the accounts by the statutory deadline; • &nbsp; &nbsp;Produce financial information for reports written by officers of the council; • &nbsp; &nbsp;Input into monthly Key Performance Information to the Senior Leadership Team; • &nbsp; &nbsp;Calculating corporate overheads (recharges) for the Support Services.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will:
• &nbsp; &nbsp;be CCAB or CIMA part qualified accountant; • &nbsp; &nbsp;have local government experience; • &nbsp; &nbsp;have a good understanding of council services and experience in providing professional financial advice to budget managers; • &nbsp; &nbsp;have advanced computer skills, the ability to question and analyse data and to present it in a coherent and user friendly format; • &nbsp; &nbsp;be flexible, with a motivated attitude, and the ability to work unsupervised when necessary and have a good working understanding of finance packages.

The Role:&nbsp;
As a Senior Planning Officer you will have the opportunity to become involved in varied and challenging casework focusing on larger housing and commercial applications, as well as providing support and advice to both colleagues in other departments and Elected Members to deliver the Council’s priorities. You will also be required to provide excellent pre-application advice to applicants, developers and architects.
Ideally you will have experience of not only managing a casework of challenging planning applications, but have also been involved in negotiating s106 agreements and presenting at Committees.&nbsp; Experience of hearings and public inquiry appeal work is also preferable.
The Council receives a broad variety of proposals across the Borough, with wide ranging opportunities for development, along with many high-level constraints providing interesting challenges for decision making.

You must be able to demonstrate a high level of experience as a Planner working within a busy Development Management environment, have a high degree of autonomy, independently managing your own workload whilst positively engaging with the wider team and Borough Councillors.
Experience of acting as a witness at public inquiry would also be desirable.

About the role
We are seeking a Dual Diagnosis Worker who has a specialism in complex mental health and substance misuse to join our team in Croydon. This is a residential service which provides specialist mental health, complex needs, and dual diagnosis support to our residents. You will utilise your previous experience and knowledge, and provide specialist support to those who have been diagnosed with mental ill health and have challenges with substance use. You will deliver evidence-based interventions based on holistic assessments to support personalised recovery, integration, and promotion of independent living skills.
Within this role, you will act as a specialist for comorbidity, supporting the team to achieve positive outcomes for our residents. Some of the duties may include:
<ul>
<li>Undertake joint holistic assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and interventions to support harm reduction and minimisation.</li>
<li>Set up realistic and flexible strengths-based support plans, working closely with colleagues and support teams to support and advise on interventions and approaches to meet individual needs.</li>
<li>Help reduce episodes of crisis and assist residents/participants to access services which can offer alternatives to crisis support.</li>
<li>Work closely with support staff and clinical teams to support and advise them on interventions and approaches to meet resident/participant comorbid, complex mental health and substance misuse needs.</li>
<li>Support multi-disciplinary teams and the wider community teams with support, advice, signposting, and move on care planning.&nbsp;</li>

About you
We’re looking for someone who has specialist knowledge on how to support individuals with comorbid and complex needs, with previous experience in a similar role. We look at individual characteristics to be able to show resilience, solve challenges, and be proactive in your approach. You will have a passion for supporting people to achieve their personal goals, and achieve positive outcomes, this includes having the ability to engage with people who may be hard to reach and engage with. We further are looking for someone who has:

<li>An appropriate qualification which is relevant to the role which could include: National Diploma, Bachelors, or master’s in psychology, Dual Diagnosis, Substance Misuse or any relevant</li>
<li>Previous experience in a similar role, providing holistic assessments and support for people experiencing mental health challenges</li>
<li>Applied knowledge of the principles of risk assessment and risk management, particularly in relation to harm minimisation.</li>
<li>A commitment to promoting recovery, harm reduction, and active involvement in care planning.</li>
<li>Ability to apply relapse prevention models to promote sustained recovery and harm reduction.</li>

As a Projects Delivery Assistant, you’ll support our busy Construction Project Managers with the day-to-day running of capital development projects – from tracking budgets and monitoring progress, to liaising with stakeholders and keeping key records up to date. You'll play a vital role in helping us deliver new homes, community buildings and improvements to the Council’s estate.
You’ll be based at our Council offices in Sevenoaks, with occasional travel to sites across the district – so no two days will be the same.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Project Delivery Assistant

Using a person-centred approach, you will look after the physical, emotional, culture and social needs of service users, which will involve personal care assisting service users with their meals and drinks and all aspects of daily living. Part of your role will involve activity planning and provision, thus promoting individual mental health and wellbeing. You will be key worker to specific individuals taking responsibility to record and communicate to the assistant managers to ensure all care plans are updated and current. This role will also include driving and escorting service users to and from the unit and out on planned trips. You will be expected to work as part of a team or on your own, liaise with multi-disciplinary professionals in respect of the needs of service users. Skills: •	Patience and an understanding of the importance of individuals dignity, privacy and choice when meeting the needs of older people who have a diagnosis of dementia / cognitive impairment. •	Ideally basic knowledge of IT systems or be prepared to learn so as to enable yo to update records access payslips and use e-learning. •	Flexible and adaptable to be able to take part in escort duties to meet and respond to the operational needs of the service. •	Good written skills and the ability to monitor, recognise and to accurately record service user’s information and needs for use in multi-agency reviews. •	Understanding of the cultural and communication needs of people from a diverse range of backgrounds. •	Able to work as part of a team. •	Good communication and be able to interact well with service users, the team, and other professionals. •	Able to deal with emergencies in a calm manner. •	An understanding of service user confidentiality and Data Protection and being able to follow policy and procedure such as medication administration, health and safety and strategies for working with people with challenging behaviour. •	A full driving licence. D1 category desirable but not essential, and the ability to pass the MIDAS minibus test this is desirable not essential. •	The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. •	The ability and skills to be trained and competent in the administration of medication •	Have experience in a caring role as a formal paid or unpaid carer. •	You will be required to take part in training (on and off site) to meet the core training requirements and to gain level 2/3 health and social care certificate.
