The ideal candidate will need to have a background in community support services and be able to drive accessible vehicles up to a D1 license; D1 training can be provided if successful.
You will need to be organised, able to work independently and effectively within a team. You will need to manage your time well to ensure you are able to meet the needs of the service.&nbsp; You will need to have excellent people skills along driving experience.&nbsp;
You will be expected to deliver a person-centred approach to our service members. You will be core to the daily delivery of our services to our customers.

About the role
We’re looking for a motivated Estates Surveyor to help manage and enhance the Council’s diverse land and property portfolio. You’ll deliver a professional, efficient estates service—handling lettings and landlord/tenant matters, negotiating rent reviews and lease renewals, carrying out valuations and inspections, instructing Legal on transactions, and contributing to our disposals programme. You’ll also respond to property enquiries from residents, tenants, Council Members and colleagues.
Key responsibilities

<li>Day-to-day management of tenanted land and property, ensuring compliance with repairing and other covenants.</li>
<li>Inspections and valuations for insurance, condition and compliance, including schedules and inventories.</li>
<li>Negotiate rent reviews, lease renewals, assignments and other landlord’s consents.</li>
<li>Prepare clear instructions to Legal Services and support committee reporting as needed.</li>
<li>Assist with land and property disposals, including securing planning consent to meet targets.</li>

About you

<li>Qualification: Associate Member of RICS (AssocRICS) or equivalent.</li>
<li>Experience: Some experience in a property/estates role, including negotiations for acquisitions, disposals and lettings.</li>
<li>Knowledge: Sound knowledge of estates management practice, and awareness of the role of property within an organisation.</li>

Derbyshire Dales North Adult Social Work Team are based in Matlock, and we are seeking to recruit two experienced Social Workers to join our friendly, community-based team of Social Care Practitioners and Social Workers. The team are highly supportive and operates on a largely agile, flexible basis across Derbyshire Dales North area of Derbyshire, utilising link worker and champion roles to carry out Care Act (2014) face-to-face and telephone assessments and reviews.The right applicants will need to evidence high levels of autonomy and accountability with timely recording of interventions to progress overall case management. Applicants must ensure they can demonstrate the skills to build positive, professional links with others to work closely with our partner agencies, such as Health, Police, Housing and PVI sectors. The ability to identify signposting opportunities is necessary to support carers, maximise independence and individual wellbeing with a focus on promoting person-centred, strength-based outcomes.At times the role requires Duty cover, it is necessary to be able to respond to changing situations, to effectively triage and assess incoming work to support Adults and their carers - who may require a more urgent response. It is vital to be able to evidence experience and skills to manage a complex caseload whilst meeting your statutory duties in a safe, accountable, and cost-effective manner to meet Care Act (2014) eligible needs alongside local authority statutory duties of care.It is an advantage to have experience of taking the lead on Section 42 Safeguarding, chairing multi agency meetings, such as Multi-Agency Adult Risk Management (MARM) and completing Mental Capacity Act (2005) assessments, including Best Interest meetings, COP-DOLs and court work – though support, training and experience will be available for the right candidate if you wish to develop your skills in these areas.Derbyshire County Council is a fantastic place to work with friendly, supportive teams, access to training and a wealth of other benefits such as our flexi working scheme.
