About the Role
Due to internal promotion, we have an opportunity for two full time Senior Planning Officers to join our Development Management team on a permanent contract. One post within the householders/others team and the other within the Large Majors team.
‘Development Management’ is the ‘coal face’ of the planning service, part of the Regeneration and Place Directorate.&nbsp; There are three teams, ‘large majors’, ‘major/minors’ and ‘householders/others’ teams handling planning applications, appeals and associated work.&nbsp; The wider team incorporates an Enforcement, Heritage, Landscape and Trees, together with technical support.&nbsp; There are close working relationships with Building Control, Planning Policy, s106/CIL team, Economic Development &amp; Legal Services. The validation of planning applications is undertaken by Mid Kent Planning Services which is shared with Swale Borough Council.
As a Senior Planning Officer in the householders/others team, you will be determining a wide range of applications, including householder, adverts, change of use, breaches, telecommunications, discharge of conditions and Certificates of Lawfulness in an area experiencing one of the highest number of applications in Kent.&nbsp; This will involve liaising with internal and external stakeholders, applicants, agents, Councillors and others involved in the planning process.&nbsp; Attendance at planning committee would be required, when necessary, the committee meets once a month and meetings take place in the evening, at Maidstone’s Town Hall.&nbsp; You will be in a position to offer supervisory support and training to junior members of staff with some signing off powers to support the Team Leader as required and depending on experience.&nbsp;
As a Senior Planning Officer in the large major’s team, you will be determining a wide range of applications, these will include schemes for larger than 50 dwellings, major commercial schemes, corporate projects and submission of details, legal agreements and other associated applications.&nbsp; There will the opportunity to be involved and shadow principal planning officers in the local plan allocated garden settlement schemes and large major schemes.&nbsp; This will involve liaising with internal and external stakeholders, applicants, agents, Councillors and others involved in the planning process.&nbsp; Attendance at planning committee would be required, when necessary, the committee meets once a month and meetings take place in the evening, at Maidstone’s Town Hall.&nbsp;
These roles are being offered on a 37 hour week, with office based working at least two days per week with flexible home working on an agreed basis as part of the Council’s approach to offer employees a range of flexible working opportunities.

About You:
For both positions we are looking for a strong team player, with enthusiasm and a real desire to make further improvement happen and take initiative.&nbsp;
You will have a degree in a relevant subject, or the equivalent, with experience of dealing with planning applications, planning enforcement and/or appeals.
You will also have self-organisation and strong IT skills and be able to meet deadlines. For this post you will need to have a keen customer focus and have experience working with members of the public as well as excellent written and verbal communication.&nbsp;
You will require a valid UK driving licence and the ability to travel around the borough to visit sites as required.

The Council is also the collecting authority for the Mayor of London’s CIL.
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Delivery Team Leader to lead the Infrastructure Delivery Team and play a critical role in securing funding from new development; and ensuring that new developments implement improvements to infrastructure and services that are agreed as part of planning permissions.​
About the role
In this role, your main responsibility will be to lead and manage the Infrastructure Delivery Team responsible for all CIL and Section 106 processes. This includes the administration and collection of CIL and Section 106 payments for the Borough; and the post-collection allocation and spending of funds, including the ongoing development of a Neighbourhood CIL spend process.
The postholder will lead on the development and implementation of processes for the collection of the forthcoming Building Safety Levy; and will be involved with the development of the new Bromley Local Plan, particularly with regard to evidence base development related to infrastructure.
The Team Leader post will have line management responsibility for two Infrastructure Delivery Officers and will report directly to the Head of Planning Policy and Strategy. The post holder will work closely with colleagues in the Planning Policy and Design &amp; Conservation teams which also sit within the Planning Policy and Strategy service; and will also work with other departments across the Council including Development Management, Finance, Housing and Regeneration.
The successful candidate will represent the Planning Policy and Strategy service at various internal and external meetings, including Council committee meetings; and will also be required to deputise for the Head of Planning Policy and Strategy in relation to infrastructure delivery matters, as and when required.
What we offer
This is an MG6 grade role, with a salary range of £47,536 to £71,302. It is a full-time, permanent role, based on a 36-hour working week. The role is based at Bromley Civic Centre (opposite Bromley South station). We offer hybrid working arrangements, with the current expectation that the post holder will be in the office for at least 2 days per week.

About the Role
The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the Housing Register and Allocations Teams to fulfil their services to housing applicants and tenants. The administrative functions should be carried out in full compliance with Council policies, procedures, and the appropriate legislation. Post holders will be placed in a team responsible for designated duties within the range covered by this post as determined by the Administrators Manager in line with fluctuating work demands and priorities that may change from time to time.
The range of duties could include promotion of alternative housing options; support for vulnerable people; mobility schemes; data input and indexing, document management, composing email correspondence, assisting with the preparation of standard documents, dealing with telephone enquiries, liaising with colleagues and external partners, and supporting service improvement initiatives. Additionally, the Lettings Administrator will help with advertising, viewings, property refusals, decants, mutual exchanges, and updating housing application records. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
To be successful in this role you must have:
A good working understanding and awareness of local housing demand and the needs of residents.
Knowledge of Housing Acts in relation to Letting of Social Housing.
A good understanding of Immigration guidelines in respect of eligibility for social housing.
Awareness of welfare benefits and eligibility
Ability to communicate clearly, courteously and patiently with members of the public and with colleague
Able to use a range of IT systems.
Able to make a positive contribution to deliver value for money.

The Post
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team managing and delivering low carbon heat networks in the borough. &nbsp;
Brent currently operates over 2,000 customer heat connections which is projected to exceed 4,000 by 2028. Heat networks will play a significant role in helping the council to achieve its net zero ambitions.
The post will play a key role in ensuring that Brent Council achieves and maintains compliance with the Heat Network Regulations, including consumer protection requirements, technical standards under the Heat Network Technical Assurance Scheme (HNTAS) and Heat Network Zoning requirements.
The post will lead on a variety of strategic, policy and operational workstreams relating to heat networks owned by or providing heat to Brent Council.
The Person
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable individual with a strong record of developing and implementing effective policies and processes, preferably within a housing context. You should demonstrate a commitment to service improvement and a focus on the needs of end-users.
You will bring, or be prepared to rapidly develop, a good understanding of heat networks, relevant regulations, and consumer protection principles.

The Post

We have received funding from Ministry of, Housing, Communities and Local Government for a full time Rough Sleeper Navigator positions to work with rough sleepers to navigate pathways for a life away from the streets. &nbsp;

The London Borough of Hackney, in partnership with East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT), is seeking an AMHP/Adult Social Care System Coordinator to join our diverse, multi-disciplinary teams. This pivotal role is split between providing administrative support to the Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) team for three days a week and a further two days dedicated to administrative and data collection functions for adult social care teams at ELFT.
In this role, you will be instrumental in facilitating the work of the Mental Health Quality Assurance Meetings, supporting service development, and acting as a MOSAIC expert to drive process improvements and provide guidance to colleagues. Your responsibilities will include efficient administrative support, managing referrals, compiling statistical reports, maintaining databases, and handling financial duties. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, the ability to work calmly under pressure, and a commitment to anti-racism and equality of opportunity.

The Post
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join a dynamic and growing Infrastructure Planning Team, in a borough that has an ambitious programme for regeneration and growth that is inclusive and delivers real benefits for its businesses, residents and communities.

Senior Environmental Health Officer

We are looking for a talented in-house Junior Graphic Designer to join our busy and expanding Communications and Marketing Team.It’s a very exciting and varied role with lots of key areas to work on from theatres, events and festivals to waste and recycling, public health and much more. The successful candidate will need to be a good ‘all-rounder’, able to create professional and engaging graphics to support the huge variety of services offered by the council whilst maintaining and enhancing the council’s brand. As our Data Insight and Intelligence Lead, you’ll help us understand how our services are performing, where pressures are building, and what opportunities lie ahead. You’ll turn complex information into clear, meaningful stories that drive change and support our vision to make Southwark a fairer, more equal borough.You’ll work closely with senior leaders, housing officers, analysts and partners across the council - designing dashboards, analysing performance and helping to shape future housing strategies. Every report, visualisation and recommendation you create will help ensure residents get the best possible service.Key responsibilities:<ul><li>Build and manage high-quality Power BI dashboards and reporting tools that translate data into insight</li><li>Lead on analytical work that drives housing performance, planning and improvement</li><li>Use SQL, T-SQL and Python to extract, model and analyse complex datasets</li><li>Collaborate across Housing and other departments to embed a data-driven culture</li><li>Present your findings clearly and confidently to leaders, colleagues and stakeholders</li></ul><h4>What We're Looking For</h4>You’ll be an analytical thinker with the confidence to challenge, question and influence through data. You’ll know how to transform numbers into narratives - helping people see the story behind the stats.
