About the role
The Industry Skills Tutor will manage a caseload of apprentices by monitoring attendance, progression, achievement and completion, organising pastoral support as required and by working with all parties involved to resolve any issues that may affect successful completion of the programmes. We are looking for a candidate with experience within Electrical industry. The Industry Skills Tutor will coordinate achievement of all aspects of apprenticeship standards or frameworks, to include quality assurance where appropriate, ensuring learners achieve on time, and in-line with college targets. The successful applicants will develop individual action plans including the setting of smart targets tailored to meet apprentices’ needs while maintaining accurate records in line with the College requirements.
The Industry Skills Tutor will;

<li>Hold a relevant vocational qualification at or above level 3 and hold an Assessor award and IQA award</li>
<li>Have relevant up-to-date industrial/subject knowledge and a knowledge of the Electrical industry and employment opportunities</li>

<li>Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written</li>
<li>Have excellent organisational and administrative skills and be able to manage and organise priorities, working as part of a team to ensure quality of provision and timely and overall successful outcomes.</li>

The Role
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Children in Care Social Workers to join our Children in Care Team who are responsible for delivering specific work streams to provide technical advice and guidance to others (including other professionals) involved in specific service delivery.

We are seeking individuals to work as part of the Building Safety Team within Capital Projects at Portsmouth City Council. The Building Safety Team is responsible for cooperating with the Principal Accountable Person and Responsible Person's in relation to whole building safety and ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021 and other legislation. The officer will assist the HRA Building Safety Manager regarding building safety including structural safety and fire safety on the Council's housing stock and commercial properties as well as the buildings that private sector housing regulate. To provide advice to other areas of the council on building safety including social housing, private sector housing and other directorates on both housing and commercial assets. Skills: 1.	Have a degree qualification in a relevant building surveying, fire safety or construction related subject and either hold or be working towards full IFE member status. Where candidate doesn’t currently hold member status, they are to demonstrate significant practical experience. Where candidates are not full members then assistance will be given to obtain membership. 2.	Have a level 4 diploma in fire safety. 3.	Have or be willing to work towards a level 6 Diploma in Building Safety Management. 4.	Have good knowledge of building design, building construction technology and fire safety. 5.	Have demonstrable experience of working on high-rise buildings. 6.	Have excellent working knowledge and understanding of building related legislation and its application. Experience of managing and leading complex construction projects ideally in buildings which are considered high risk with multiple external consultants from feasibility, procurement, contract administration until practical completion. 10. Have relevant experience of using all Microsoft packages; in particular be able to demonstrate practical IT skills using MS Excel spreadsheets to analyse data and MS Project to assist planning projects and deliver of works as well as the ability to use various software packages as part of undertaking the role. 12.	Have a working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drawing packages to produce and be able to interpret and comment on complex drawings to ensure design proposals meet the customer brief. 13. Be able to engage with resident groups regarding building safety and investigate complaints. 14.	Be able to interrogate, analyse and evaluate stock data, project information and repair details providing updates to government agencies as required. About the team
The Environment and Energy unit is responsible for the policies and programmes related to the Mayor’s ambitions around the natural environment, climate adaptation and his net zero 2030 target. The 25-strong Energy team sits within this unit.
The Energy team leads on the Mayor’s manifesto commitments on domestic retrofit (through the newly established Warmer Homes London) and the Greener Schools pilot. It is also responsible for our work around London Power, community energy and supporting a strong decarbonisation pipeline across London through the Mayor’s Zero Carbon Accelerator.
About the role
This senior role will play a pivotal part in the Mayor’s ambitions towards net zero. The Head of Energy leads an expert team of around 25 people working across a number of complex energy projects. The postholder will need to support the team through periods of uncertainty and change, whilst leading a high-performing and inclusive culture.&nbsp;&nbsp;
The Head of Energy will need to demonstrate strong strategic leadership and programme delivery skills across a range of energy projects. This includes overseeing delivery of the Warm Homes Local Grant capital funding programme and supporting the newly-established Warmer Homes London office. It also includes continued delivery of the Greener Schools pilot, clean power procurement within the GLA Group, community energy and work to develop a pipeline of net zero projects through the Zero Carbon Accelerator.
The Head of Energy is a Programme Director for three Mayoral programmes of work (‘Reducing Non-Residential Emissions’, ‘Improving London’s Housing Stock’ and ‘Upgrading London’s Infrastructure’). This involves supporting the SROs for these programmes to ensure delivery of key outputs, identification and mitigation of risks, and careful management of budgets to maximise delivery and ensure value for money.&nbsp;
The postholder will need to develop strong working relationships with the Deputy Mayor and the wider Mayor’s Office, supporting their decision-making and ensuring team resources are focused on priorities. An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Fleet Officer within Merton.
The role will be supporting the Street Cleansing Manager in upholding the highest standards of regulatory compliance and operational excellence across the street cleansing fleet.
About you:
As the Fleet Officer you will be responsible for supporting the council’s Transport Manager with the management of any Operator’s Licence and appropriate audit systems to document compliance.
Monitor and develop a working partnership with the Waste Collection Contractor to ensure timely maintenance of the Council’s fleet and ensuring drivers and service managers are adequately trained to meet statutory requirements for operating front line service vehicles.
We’re looking for someone with:

<li>Knowledge and understanding of environmental regulations, emissions standards and fuel efficiency requirements, with the ability to interpret and apply these regulations</li>

The job is primarily to operate the CCTV system and other equipment (radio links), but will include other duties such as the recording of information, writing reports and other basic administration tasks.
