Shift Patterns: Shifts patterns can include early shifts from 7.30am or late shifts up to 11pm, followed by a sleep in and/or an early shift the following day. Shifts can include sleep in duties, waking nights, weekends and bank holidays and shift patterns can change to meet the needs of the Service Users. There may be occasions to work additional hours to support the service whilst the team are on training, holidays, and sickness.
Examples of shift patterns are 7.30am - 3.00pm, 7.30am -10am and 2.30p,m -10pm. Shift patterns / rota's can include a sleep in shift, examples of times are 10pm to 8 am, or waking night of 10pm to 8 am.
Travel: Our Service Users live across several tenancies in the borough and rely on the flexibility and reliability of our teams to travel across the borough of St Helensto provide the care they need. A drivers licence is advantageous but is not essential.

Roles That Matter
St Helens Council are seeking to appoint an IT Engineer to provide IT support to primary schools within our borough. The engineer will be working as a part of a team and will be supported by the Primary Schools Team Manager and senior IT engineers. The engineer will be assigned a number of schools to act as the primary IT engineer, visiting them on a weekly basis, they will also provide reactive support at times and work on project work during school holidays. The role would suit someone with at least a years’ experience in the IT Industry looking to further their career. You will be providing both first- and second-line support to both staff and students.
You will have experience of supporting end user devices such as Windows PCs, printers, and iPads and audio/visual equipment. You should have knowledge and experience of basic networking, such as cable patching, wireless connectivity, basic IP configuration and troubleshooting.
Experience of administering users and computers using Microsoft Server 2016-22, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Configuration Manager would be an advantage.
Good customer service skills are essential as you will be liaising with school staff and children. A full DBS check will be carried out on any successful applicant. Experience of using a service desk is also required and an ITIL qualification would be an advantage but not a requirement.
You must be organised, be able to take ownership of service desk calls and be able to prioritise calls based on impact.
A minimum of one years experience working in an IT support environment is required.

You will work closely with families, professionals, and partner agencies to reduce harms associated with safeguarding, exploitation, crime, and anti-social behaviour. In this role, you will be expected to contribute to safeguarding processes and take the lead in coordinating support, ensuring services are responsive and effective.
You should have a good understanding of child development, safeguarding, and the challenges families face when dealing with harmful sexual behaviour and external harms such as exploitation. Strong communication, planning, and partnership working skills are essential, as is the ability to build trusted relationships with parents and carers. The primary focus will be assessing harmful sexual behaviours and providing interventions to children and parents facing multiple and complex challenges.

MST-CAN [Multisystemic Therapy for Child Abuse and Neglect] delivers intensive intervention to families who are open to Knowsley Children’s Social Care under statutory plans with the aim of keeping children safely at home.
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced professional to join our small and successful team.

As an MST-CAN Therapist you will hold a small caseload of families, delivering intensive intervention with caregivers and children in their homes and communities to prevent re-abuse and neglect.
A relevant undergraduate degree is an essential requirement, as is knowledge of child abuse and neglect and experience of working within this challenging area.&nbsp; The ideal candidate will also have experience of applying psychological theory in their practice and delivering evidence-based interventions such as behavioural parenting techniques, CBT and Motivational Interviewing.&nbsp; The ability to work with children and adults facing multiple difficulties such as significant substance misuse, trauma and poor mental health is also required.&nbsp;
This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise and develop your existing skills as a child and family practitioner by joining a dedicated team with an emphasis on strong supervisory and peer support.
In addition to your salary, you will receive payment for being part of the rota to deliver support to families outside of typical working hours.&nbsp; This will be on average every 1 week in 3, but is arranged collaboratively within the team to take into consideration planned personal events.&nbsp; Payment equates to around £4500pa in addition to your salary.
You will be given full training in the MST model and MST-CAN adaptation techniques.&nbsp; This involves MST 5-day training, MST-CAN 4-day training and 4-day trauma training.&nbsp; These may be away from the locality and require overnight stays.&nbsp;
