The candidate must be available to run extra-curricular clubs before, during and after school.</p>\n<p>The Redden Court PE Faculty endeavours to deliver an extensive curricular and extra-curricular programme to allow students to learn and progress in a number of different sports and activities. As well as the core PE programme, students in KS4 will have the opportunity to study GCSE PE. The faculty consists of six experienced teachers (two male and four female) who work closely to deliver core and credited PE lessons, an extensive extra-curricular programme and many trips, both in the UK and overseas.</p>\n<p>Within the last ten years the faculty has had lots of extra-curricular success, both with the boys and girls. We have had many individual performers and sports teams crowned champions in Havering, Essex, London, Regional and National Level. In 2023 we were crowned u13’s national cup football champions and even represented England in the British Isle tournament in 2024. The expectations of the faculty is that both students and teachers work hard both in lessons and extra-curricular clubs in order to improve their own and their teams performances to be the best they can possibly be.</p>\n<p>In 2019 we saw the start of the Redden Court Sports Academy (RCSA). The academy started alongside our Sporting Aptitude programme, where the school can select up to 10% of the intake based on a student's sporting aptitude. Students who gain entry to the school via the Sporting Aptitude programme and excel in PE and sport will have the opportunity to be selected for the Redden Court Sports Academy (RCSA). This process begins in Year 7 and allows the faculty to develop our students to become outstanding performers and eventually leaders and ambassadors.</p>\n<p>In Year 10, students at Redden Court will have the opportunity to become a Sports Captain. The role of the Sports Captain is to lead and organise house sports events as well as taking on leadership roles at primary school sports events within Havering. The scheme is membership based and provides transport to health and social appointments, shopping, events and local activities.</p><p>The role will co-ordinate the transport requirements of residents and groups, ensuring they can get to events in their local community, appointments, shopping trips and visiting friends and relatives, which contributes to improving their well-being and quality of life.</p><p>The role will be office based, liaising with a wide client base on the telephone to co-ordinate their transport needs.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><p>The successful candidate will need excellent, adaptable communication skills to deal with members of the public, taking into consideration the vulnerable client group, community groups and schools as well as liaising with volunteer drivers and other council departments.</p><p>The post holder will need to be organised and be able to plan and manage their workload.
