An opportunity has become available to join a team dedicated to delivering a high level of customer service at parks’ facilities across the borough.
This post is for casual hours only to help cover vacant shifts and will vary each week from 0 hours up to 16 hours. The role would suit someone with other commitments who enjoys working outside and is looking for some extra income.&nbsp; You&nbsp;must&nbsp;have a driving licence (manual) to be considered.
Your duties will include unlocking and locking of parks, regular patrols and helping to maintain a safe environment for visitors. You will be highly visible and proactively engage with members of the public, event organisers, community groups and sports teams.
In addition to these duties, you may assist with the day-to-day operation of seasonal facilities including the Stoke Park Visitor Point, paddling pool and Chantry Wood campsite.&nbsp; Training will be provided.
With excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly and enthusiastic manner, you will be able to interact with members of the public in a tactful and diplomatic way. You will be flexible and reliable with the ability to work alone and prioritise workloads. You will be required to keep written records and ensure that administrative tasks are completed in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.
To be successful as a Park Ranger, candidates should be professional, polite, and committed to delivering a high level of customer service. You must feel confident to challenge the misuse of facilities, complete general administration tasks and have good time management skills with the ability to work to fluctuating demands.&nbsp;
Hours of work:

<li>Hours are offered on a casual basis (0-16 hours per week) as per the needs of the service.</li>
<li>Hours will be available between 7:00am – 8:30pm, seven days a week (including bank holidays). Typically, casual shifts are usually 4 hours and are often either 7am – 11am or 4:30pm - 8:30pm.</li>

<li>Manage sport facilities, issue tickets and sports equipment.&nbsp; These duties include basic operation of the paddling pool in Stoke Park to the standards required as per the National Pool Plant Operators qualification (training provided)</li>

We would like to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Officer to deliver regulatory services in relation to Licensing, including the administration and enforcement of the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005, Taxi and Private Hire, Street Trading, Sexual Entertainment, Charitable Collections, Pavement Licensing and Animal Activity Licensing.&nbsp;
The primary purpose of this post is to protect the public and support compliant businesses through the delivery of a full range of licensing functions as part of a multi-skilled, Compliance Team. &nbsp;The team regulates a diverse range of disciplines including: environmental control, public health, food safety, health &amp; safety, licensing, planning, private sector housing and environmental crime.
This is also an exciting time for Guildford as we continue with our collaboration with neighbouring Waverley Borough Council.&nbsp; The two Council’s have a shared senior management team and there is further collaboration planned across the organisations, with a shared service, including a shared licensing team, likely to take effect from early 2026.&nbsp; This may involve staff moving under the employment of Waverley Borough Council, however details are to be agreed.
On a typical day, you would:

<li>Assist the Council in discharging is Licensing and Registration functions, including determining applications, inspections and presenting reports for hearings,</li>
<li>Respond to service requests involving the licensing area, such as investigating complaints, assisting customers and others with requests for advice and collecting evidence for legal proceedings,</li>
<li>Assist with the development of Policies and Procedures.</li>
</ul>

Compliance Manager (Building Services)

This role is within the Asset Management Department, reporting to the Senior Building Manager.
You will be working in Building Services Team and will be involved in the organisation and supervision of Knowle Green FM Officers to ensure effective and smooth operation of Knowle Green Council Offices.
You will support the Council in ensuring that building maintenance and facilities management (FM) meet detail of the required service delivery in terms of compliance, responsiveness, quality of service and workmanship. The role will have responsibility for ensuring that the Council meet its statutory compliance obligations in all areas including gas safety, water safety, asbestos, electrical safety, fire safety and lift/LOLER requirements.
You will be responsible for the preparation of monthly performance reports, extracting data and monitoring trends, particular around compliance, ensuring information is shared across Building Services Team using the data to identify when compliance tests/inspections are required for municipal properties. You will have an eye for detail and will challenge the supply chain and contractors to address health and safety, quality, suitability or value for money issues that may arise and to escalate when necessary.
You will hold responsibility for supervision of Knowle Green FM Officers to ensure smooth running of an efficient and effective FM service management ensuring that Knowle Green Council Offices (building) effectively support its core functions and enhances the quality of life for its occupants.
You will assume responsibility for ensuring implementation of policies and procedures across Building Services so that statutory responsibilities are met ensuring Council’s municipal properties remain safe and conducive to occupants including staff, contractors and members of the public.
You will ensure that consistent processes and procedures are in place across building services to meet legislative and regulatory compliance standards, including close liaison with other officers within the Council about insurance, building control, health and safety. &nbsp;

It’s an exciting time to join the Community Wellbeing team within Spelthorne. We developed and built temporary accommodation for families, and purpose built supported accommodation for single homeless residents and continue to look for opportunities for permanent and temporary housing solutions. We have just launched our ambitious Homelessness &amp; Rough Sleeping Strategy 2025-2030 which aims to end the use of bed and breakfast accommodation, promote independence and wellbeing, and maximise the use of the private rented sector for homelessness prevention and relief. We are working closely with partners to deliver innovative and appropriate options to facilitate discharge from hospital and prevent admissions.
In addition to all this, the Council is embarking on an ambitious housing delivery programme to meet the housing needs of local residents, including a significant proportion of affordable homes.
To support this work, we are looking for a new Strategic Lead for Housing. A large part of the role is to proactively engage with internal colleagues and external partners to enable affordable housing delivery. You will develop and lead the Council’s effective partnerships with Registered Providers and Homes England, as well as representing the housing service on internal development working groups in order to achieve this.
Together with your solid understanding of the economic and social issues that affect housing supply and demand locally, you will have a proven track record and significant experience in strategy policy and preparation. You will be an expert in housing and homelessness legislation as you will need to translate guidance, best practice, and case law into understandable and workable solutions.
You will be comfortable working with numbers and data in spreadsheets and databases and be able to translate the same into plain English for a variety of audiences. You will be able to use this data to not only drive business cases and funding bids, which will see new services commissioned in line with the Council’s strategic aims, but also to contract manage existing services. To do this effectively, you will need excellent ICT skills.
You will lead a small but effective team which you will be expected to coach and support. You will also support the Team Manager, Housing Options to ensure the Council’s statutory homelessness service is run according to legislation, statutory guidance, case law and best practice.

This is an exciting time to join our recently remodelled service. Berkshire Emergency Duty Service is considered as attentive and effective in safeguarding the children and vulnerable adults of Berkshire, with positive feedback from both Ofsted and CQC.
We are a specialist team of Approved Mental Health Professionals, Senior Adults and Children’s Social Workers, Adult Safeguarding Care Coordinators and Call Screening Officers.&nbsp; Working partnership with our health colleagues, the police and other stakeholders, we work with service users across all age groups to assist those experiencing a social care and/or mental health crisis.
Our key obligation is to provide professional support in the out of hours to promote the welfare of service users within our statutory accountabilities and wider policies. The AMHP role involves triaging incoming work, dealing with complex situations and prioritising support interventions efficiently.
Our AMHPs provide an excellent responsive service out of hours to people in need of mental health support who require assessment under the Mental Health Act (MHA) 1983. AMHPs also ensure that the legal rights of service users are protected.
We care about the wellbeing of Berkshire residents and our dedicated out of hours social care provision helps us to protect some of our most vulnerable residents.

This is a residential service which provides specialist mental health, complex needs, and dual diagnosis support to our residents. You will utilise your previous experience and knowledge, and provide specialist support to those who have been diagnosed with mental ill health and have challenges with substance use. You will deliver evidence-based interventions based on holistic assessments to support personalised recovery, integration, and promotion of independent living skills.
Within this role, you will act as a specialist for comorbidity, supporting the team to achieve positive outcomes for our residents. Some of the duties may include:

As a Recovery Facilitator at New Hope you will work within a small team to support people to achieve their goals.
<h3>About you…</h3>
You will manage a caseload of individuals with differing levels of complexity to improve their outcomes and re-integrate into the community.
You will have excellent skills in assessing needs and identifying risks. Experience in working with people who have complex drug and alcohol needs would be beneficial, as well as strong attention to detail, since some of the individuals accessing the service may be subject to statutory orders or requirements to attend. A high standard of computer literacy and data management is essential, along with a clear understanding of confidentiality.

New Hope is the centre from which drug and alcohol services are delivered in and this role is pivotal in ensuring that people wishing to access the services are assessed in a timely manner. We work as a team to ensure all Bracknell Forest residents are receiving the highest support package possible. We are looking for committed and proactive Preparation for Adulthood (PfA) Officers to join our SEN service. You will be at the heart of supporting young people as they prepare to move from school or college into adult life. Your role will focus on helping them plan for the future, ensuring their EHCPs reflect their aspirations and that the right support is in place to make them a reality.As a SEN PfA Officer, you will work closely with young people, their families, schools, colleges, social care and health professionals. You will attend and contribute to annual reviews from Year 9 onwards, making sure that PfA outcomes – such as employment, independent living, community participation and good health – are clearly embedded in each plan. You will promote access to opportunities such as supported internships, apprenticeships and training, and work with professionals to ensure young people can move smoothly into adult services where needed.To succeed in this role, you will be an excellent communicator who can explain complex processes clearly and sensitively. You will have empathy, patience and a strong belief in the potential of every young person. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential, as is the confidence to work across multiple agencies. Experience of transition planning and knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice Knowledge is essential.
