Dartford Borough Council have over 4000 social homes throughout the local area. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Housing Compliance Manager to join our team and to lead and manage compliance across our housing maintenance service. The position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative environment, develop your skills and contribute to achieving our service goals.&nbsp;
This is a key role ensuring that Dartford Borough Council meets all statutory and regulatory requirements relating to housing health and safety, including gas, electrical, fire safety, water hygiene, and asbestos management.

This role is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of housing management services to a dedicated patch serving approximately 400 homes. The role provides generic housing management services including anti-social behaviour management, arrears management including debt and benefit advice, void management and lettings and general tenancy management ensuring income maximisation, efficient letting of homes and that tenants receive great customer service throughout their tenancy. The Housing Officer role is a fully generic role delivering a comprehensive housing management service to a cohort of Portsmouth Homes tenants. The role is predominantly reactive, to help support and empower tenants to be able to sustain and maintain their tenancies and live their best lives, whilst feeling safe and secure in their homes and communities. Responsibility starts with the viewing of an empty property, with prospective tenants, and the need to ensure that the property meets their Housing Need and is suitable in terms of other factors. About You
&nbsp;
The successful applicant will help coordinate the effective delivery of the T-Level in Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing with occupational specialisms in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical &amp; Electronic Engineering. In addition, the role will include teaching on our BTEC National Diplomas and Level 2 Extended Certificate..
&nbsp;
You will provide academic leadership for students, creating provision that is engaging, relevant and coherent and in line with local and national priorities. You will develop and maintain up to date industry skills and knowledge, bringing in engineering professionals, where possible, that are relevant to the curriculum and the employability and skills needs of students.
You will support and motivate learners to meet their individual aspirations and goals and will coordinate the tracking of learners’ achievements. In your role you will lead study programmes to attain outstanding student retention, achievement and progression.
&nbsp;
You will have sound organisational skills,&nbsp;and your ability to work cooperatively and contribute positively and creatively to a team is essential. Relevant mechanical or general engineering experience and qualifications and strong knowledge of CAD/SOLIDWORKS are also essential.

We welcome candidates with industry experience, and you will have the opportunity to work towards a teaching qualification. The role will require you to&nbsp;work towards a recognised Level 4 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or be willing to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification upon appointment.&nbsp;
