It is a great chance to put your catering qualifications and skills into practice and make an impact far beyond the kitchen.</p><p>As part of the prison’s catering team, you’ll be working in a professional industrial kitchen environment, with a good salary, pension and Civil Service benefits including apprenticeship opportunities ‘earn while you learn’. Unlike traditional restaurant jobs, you won’t have to work late into the evening. </p><p>You’ll oversee the work of offenders to prepare and cook quality, nutritional meals for the entire prison. Plus, you’ll play your part in helping them turn their lives around - supporting them to learn new skills and work towards gaining qualifications to increase their chances of employment and reduce their likelihood of reoffending when they leave prison.</p><p><strong>Hours and salary</strong></p><p>You will work a 37-hour week and shift patterns are in place which include hours outside of 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday, weekends and public holidays. You will receive a 20% unsocial hours payment in addition to your basic pay, subject to working these hours. </p><p>All roles can be open to part-time and job share arrangements subject to the business need/operational requirement. However, you will still be required to undertake the full range of shifts. <h4>Job summary</h4>Please refer to Job Description<h4>Job description</h4><p>Job holders will provide faith/belief and pastoral care to prisoners and staff of their own faith/belief tradition and have an understanding/knowledge of other faith/beliefs as part of a multi-faith/belief chaplaincy team. Job holders will also be required to meet the pastoral needs of people of other faiths/beliefs and none.</p><p>The job holder will work with colleagues to ensure the delivery of PSI 05/2016 Faith and Pastoral Care for Prisoners or its successor policy framework and also the broader work of chaplaincy in delivering faith and non-faith-based courses. Will contribute to the process by which the Governor and Chaplain General/Head of Faith Services are assured that these policies are being delivered.</p><p>The job holder will engage with and build contacts with their own faith/belief community towards aiding the resettlement of offenders.</p><p>Takes responsibility for one’s own spiritual health and development, allowing time for private prayer/reflection, study and retreat.</p><p>This is a non-rotational, non-operational job with no line management or supervisory responsibilities.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities, Activities and Duties</strong></p><p>The job holder will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities and duties:</p><p>• provide guidance on their faith/belief system in the establishment providing advice, pastoral care and spiritual welfare to prisoners, staff and their families as requested, liaising with their Faith and Belief Adviser (FBA) or other FBA as appropriate;</p><p>• plan and lead worship/meditation, prayer and faith/belief specific meetings. <h4>Job summary</h4><p>The Armed Forces Commissioner (AFC) is a newly established, dedicated champion for our Regular and Reserve personnel and their families; a landmark step in demonstrating our commitment to supporting those who serve our nation. Acting as an independent champion, the AFC provides a direct route for serving personnel and their families to raise concerns about welfare issues that may impact on their service lives and ability to serve.</p><p>The Commissioner subsumes the roles and responsibilities of the Service Complaints Ombudsman, providing independent and impartial oversight of the Service Complaints system. They have the power to help Service personnel access the Service Complaints system, review aspects of the handling of individual Service Complaints, and report on the efficiency, effectiveness, and fairness of the system as a whole.</p><p>They also have the discretion to conduct individual and thematic investigations into specific and broader welfare issues facing Service personnel and their families. The independent reports and recommendations they publish will highlight these issues to Parliament and the wider public, holding the government and the Armed Forces to account.</p><p>As the Senior Head of Investigations, you will manage and oversee the AFC’s investigative function responsible for conducting investigations into Service and Welfare Complaints. You will be the senior responsible officer for the effective operation of the high-profile customer-facing investigations function, responsible for the independent and impartial oversight of the Service Complaints system, and for monitoring and assessing the welfare investigations conducted by relevant bodies within Defence and undertaking individual and thematic investigations as directed by the Commissioner. You will be required to work collaboratively, whilst taking individual responsibility for your areas of work, producing high quality outputs at pace. <h4>Job summary</h4>Please refer to Job Description<h4>Job description</h4><p><strong>The National Distribution Centre (NDC)</strong><br><br>The Ministry of Justice Transport Unit is made up of three core business areas and sits within Commercial directorate.<br><br>The National Distribution Centre (NDC) is based in Branston, Staffordshire. It was purpose built in 2003 and the operation is responsible for the collection, storage and delivery of internally manufactured goods, raw materials, prisoner property, mattresses, footwear and a small amount of document storage. The site is also used to support other MoJ activities as and when required.<br><br>The warehouse is a modern, 135,000 sq. ft. ‘high bay’ facility which can accommodate 16,500 pallets / stillages in both wide and narrow aisle configurations. In addition there is in the region of 6000 sq. ft. of office space.<br><br>The in-house NDC fleet comprises 22 rigid / drawbar vehicles providing a scheduled agreed service of 500 visits per month. The fleet is designed to operate on a specialised demount system and this is largely governed by the problems that arise from physical access restrictions in prisons, necessitating a mix of vehicle types. The fleet delivers to the Prison Service estate on a national 5 day week basis, operating a single shift system, supported by ‘nights out’ as and when required.<br><br>The Transport Unit is responsible for providing a transport management service to the Ministry of Justice. The unit is also responsible for a specialised vehicle workshop based in Branston, with an engineering and administrative staff of eight. Three field based Regional Engineers, controlled by the transport unit provide a peripatetic service covering England and Wales. The primary functions include the development of transport policy, provision of technical advice and to administer the Crown Indemnity Insurance Policy and commercial insurance requirements.<br><br>Fleet Engineering Services (FES) operates out of Building 50 of the Branston site and is situated near the NDC. The facility has been occupied by FES since the late 1980’s. It provides services to HM Prisons and undertakes a wide range of engineering activities which include.<br><br>The provision of first line servicing for the National Distribution Centre (NDC) fleet of heavy and light commercial vehicles, as well as second line repairs, bodywork and vehicle modifications.<br><br>Design, develop and carry out conversion work on behalf of HMPPS tactical units as per their specifications. FES also undertake work at the start and end of a vehicle’s fleet life for the purchased fleet. This can involve an inspection or necessitate the removal of sensitive equipment before the disposal of a tactical vehicle. FES also inspect all vehicles returned to Branston to establish if they can be re issued to a unit where the requirement does not warrant a new vehicle. For these units FES inspects, costs the parts required, and on agreement with the establishment, undertake the repairs needed to bring the vehicle to a roadworthy legal condition.<br><br><strong>Role Summary</strong><br><br>We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, physically fit, and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.<br><br>This is a manual role and can be physically demanding. It will involve repetitive light, medium or occasionally heavy lifting, including regular bending. The job holder will need to be flexible and respond to the needs of the business, working in other departments when requested, including additional hours (if required) and supporting other departments when and where necessary. <br><br>The contracted hours will be Monday to Thursday 0800hrs – 1600hrs and Friday 0800hrs – 1530hrs.<br><br>On occasions, you might be required to work weekends and some days overtime dependant on the demands of the NDC. <br><br>The job holder will require basic knowledge/skills to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the post and will be required to undertake specific training in these work areas. Collection and disposal of waste as required. The job holder will largely excel in the area of risk assessment and be a specialist in working with those convicted of sexual offending. The role will be based in South Mimms, Hertfordshire. </p><p><strong>Who are we?</strong></p><p>The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency enhance and improve the health of millions of people every day through the effective regulation of medicines and medical devices, underpinned by science and research. </p><p>The research and development function of the MHRA Science Campus comprises a multi-disciplinary team of internationally respected scientists who deliver strategically aligned regulatory scientific research focused on the development and distribution of biological reference materials. </p><p>The Gene Therapy team aims to impact the future safety and quality of gene therapies through addressing regulatory focused research questions and by driving the global harmonisation of gene therapy critical quality attribute assessment, underpinned by the development and application of new physical standards. <br></p><p><strong>What’s the role?</strong></p><p>This post has the global role of developing and executing a programme of research &amp; development for the standardisation and safety of gene therapy medicines. <h4>Job summary</h4><p>Scottish Forestry (SF) is the Scottish Government (SG) agency responsible for forestry policy, support and regulations. We have five regional offices or conservancies throughout Scotland that:</p><ul><li>provide forestry guidance and advice;</li><li>administer incentives (including grants) to deliver SG priorities;</li><li>implement forestry policy and regulations, and feed regional perspectives into national activities.</li><li>Carry out health, education and engagement programmes with local communities.</li></ul><p>Perth and Argyll Conservancy has a team of 27 technical and support staff. The team is based across two offices with most people based at Upper Battleby near Perth, and three in Argyll.</p><p>The conservancy team are busy, dedicated and enthusiastic carrying out a wide range of interesting and often complex casework and projects around our regulatory, grant giving and partnership remit. A key part of our work is woodland creation with the Conservancies having a major role in delivering the Scottish Government’s woodland creation targets. Scottish Forestry are a flexible employer and encourage applicants who wish to work</p><h4>Job description</h4><p><strong>What you will do</strong></p><p></p><p>Monitor new and existing cases, as well as associated grant claim payments, in discussion with the Operations Managers, and aim to balance casework within teams.</p><p>Maintain an overview of all conservancy casework by developing a suitable system for recording case progress thus providing an effective service to applicants and minimise delays in processing casework.</p><p><strong>Main Duties</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee allocation, recording and management of all casework i.e. Forestry Grant Scheme applications, Felling Permission Applications, Illegal Felling reports, Forest Plans etc in discussion with Operations Managers and Office Manager. Produce management information reports as required.</li><li>Monitor all submissions for monthly clearing, noting the outcome and maintain an overview of FGS contract issue and return.</li><li>Develop and maintain a record of all management Information for Conservancy Grants and Regulations activities.</li><li>Maintain an overview of all claim processing, variation requests and coordinate the Single Application Form (SAF) exercise ensuring payments are made within the agreed deadlines.</li><li>Act as the lead Conservancy contact for the National Office Operations Delivery team, coordinating action/disseminating information where required within the Conservancy.</li><li>Provide support to CSO’s within Area Teams and help balance case allocations across teams where required to cover for absence</li><li>Support and coordinate the training, mentoring and learning of Case Support Officers within the Conservancy teams.</li><li>Deputise for Office Manager by acting as signatory/authorising officer for finance.</li><li>Other duties as line manager decides is necessary.</li></ul><h4>Person specification</h4><p><strong>Experience </strong></p><p>Essential:</p><ul><li>experience of Grants &amp; Regulations administration and use of IT systems e.
