About the Role

About the role:
Horsham District Council is looking for a Driver Operative to work within the Waste and Recycling teams.
As a qualified Driver, you will possess the minimum requirement of a clean Category C HGV licence as well as up to date CPC.&nbsp;&nbsp;It would also be an advantage if you hold a current digital tachograph card but this can be arranged as required.
You will be required to take the lead on the round, ensuring that all Health and Safety practices are adhered to by you and your crew. You will also be able to complete all administrative processes associated with your round and operate our in-cab system, Bartec, for which training will be provided ensuring accurate data entry into our system particularly for missed, contaminated, and damaged bins.
Bank holiday working is contractual, except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day. Where bank holidays are worked, pay is at the rate of triple time for each bank holiday. Saturday catch-up working is contractual at Christmas and New Year, paid at the rate of time and a half.
About you:
To succeed as Driver Operative you will need to be a team player with outstanding behaviours, flexible attitude, and approach to job priority that ensures the department meets all its objectives.&nbsp;&nbsp;You will also be required to cover for absences in other areas of the department.
This role involves working outside in all weathers and you will need a good level of fitness and endurance to ensure the job gets done, which will include supporting your colleagues by loading bins.

As our Assistant Executive Director (Quality, Permanence and Sufficiency) you will have significant experience as a senior leader in Children’s Social Care and understand and have experience of working in a ‘Good’ Local Authority, with a strong and varied record of achievement. &nbsp;With the ability to lead, inspire and motivate others within a culture of proactive service delivery and continuous improvement, you will have an in depth understanding of Children’s Social Care and the key government policies and legislative framework relating to it, as well as significant experience of successfully implementing strategies and managing complex projects.

Ready for new challenge?&nbsp;Passionate about making a difference in your community? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Wyre Council Financial Services Team at Wyre Council as an Accountant – Technical and Corporate Reporting.
In this role you will be a key member of the team, supporting the annual accounts closure process, overseeing the collection fund accounting, completing periodic corporate reporting, and working with the Financial Services Manager in the continuous improvement of financial management information and quality initiatives.
Ideally you will have knowledge of statutory financial reporting requirements and financial regulations combined with experience of local authority financial accounting, although this is not essential.
